She sold her brand to the highest bidder just for the big bucks, without even questioning the long term strategy of the new management or the harm the acquisition could have done to the brand she nurtured for more than twenty years...and then after the Capri fiasco tenure she acts like a crybaby.
When was she when Versace was releasing watered down version of MK Michael Kors collections with Medusa hardware buttons / zippers? What about the Versave bags ripped off from the competitors best sellers? The Miu Miu Arcadie, the Prada mini bag, the Book tote.
It's thanks to her clueless decisions that Versace became of a chav brand featuring barocco prints silk shirts, Aevitas platform pumps and Medusa logo clothing....

yes to many things you mentioned but a big no in the sense that she can still feel what she said because what we might observe as not creative enough was or is her standart or level of creativity Nr1

Being the creative director and sister or mother does not mean she had all the freedom to be pro or contra selling of the company.
That's why details of facts matter in making statements with feelings.
I do agree many stylistic decisions at versace where too tacky and with gianni they had a balance of tacky versus modernity that was cool.
To me she hold a special spot as a person in fashion because she did what she could as a sister that lost her big brother and a person that was there from day one and had to make it happen while dealing with drugs and family dynamics and a not well daughter etc etc.
she deserves grace even if she did tacky stuff but it was not all tacky bad either. because on the level you mentioned 99 % of brands do copy trendy styles and do cheap stuff even hermes prada etc etc
