Did anyone see the little rant that she posted on twitter (about black models)? I think she has gotten to that point in her career where it is make-or-break. She is either going to get REALLY big or start to fade. After being in the industry for this long, she should be enjoying the rewards of her hard work (ala Karlie). Runway seems kinda redundant for a girl of her stature at this point. I don't really see Women taking advantage of her AMAZING personality. IMHO....her and Karlie would have been PERFECT House of Style co-hosts.
Someone somewhere has decided that Cara D is "The Model With the Personality" and no one else is allowed to get a look in...
I saw her rant, too, and I remember she wrote something similar last season.
The thing is, of course it's harder for black models, but there are other black models who are just more in demand with casting directors. They are 'it' this season, and Jourdan, unfortunately, is not.
I don't think she'll make it really big, at least not in modelling. I could see her hosting a bigger tv-show and getting celeb status, at least in the UK. The next big thing in modelling? Not so much. But i really don't want her to fade.
As for Women: I've been really annoyed by their management strategies in the last few months. It's not only Jourdan, there's Toni, who only walks a couple of shows nowadays, but instead of being 'selective' or 'exclusiv', she does tons of b-list catalogue work. Same goes for Ginta, who's had a terrible season so far. Mirte seems to be fading, too, and girls like Anna S. continue to book good shows and campaigns, but there's no spark to it, if you know what I mean. Nobody's really talking about these girls. I think they focus too much on their newcomers and neglect their more experienced money girls until the eventually fade.
Anyway, one more runway appearances for Jourdan:

Ignore the fact that I'm a big fan of Jourdan and I post here all the time, but understand some things 
. A lot of people need to realise that Jourdan started modelling a long time ago, and there was a time she was the "it" model or the "it black model". Most of these shows you see models in now, Jourdan has been in before. Tell me if im wrong, but Jourdan is still the only black female model to walk for Alexander McQueen. All the Givenchy, Prada, etc, Jourdan has walked for and to be honest, being so long in the industry, I'm sure she chooses her castings now.
Look at other models she more or less started with her, they pretty much just do milan and paris (they have the advantage of being white so dont necessarily have to do new york and london), they arent in a lot of shows anymore and plus, she is definitely the second most popular black model after Joan Smalls.
She is not where I want her to be but you have to look at the fact that she is pretty big and we cant underestimate her position in the industry right now. Also, with her move to New York, you can see she is ready to conquer the industry. So many other things I can say.

^ Chanel, Mimi Roche, Alek Wek, Naomi (?) also walked for McQueen. However Jourdan and Chanel were the last black models to walk for the brand in S/S 2009 
(which Jourdan also closed).
I see Jourdan's career along the same lines as an Alana Zimmer. She has already hit the high-point of her career but continues to work solidly on both the runway and in editorial. She has the support of specific people and outlets like US Vogue, Edward Enninful, Christopher Bailey, James Scully which keep her relevant, however she's past the point of grabbing the attention of new clients. Which means that the progression of her career has flat-lined.
At the end of the day though, she's incredibly lucky to still be working at a relatively high level. Most girls, regardless of race don't maintain the kind of relevancy that Jourdan has been able to hold onto for five years. I don't think that it's worth her doing full on show seasons anymore for the reasons I outlined above. What she has that most other girls don't have is personality and charisma. I think that the show on the Jay-Z channel is a perfect fit for her. If she can continue to work in that arena, whilst balancing a few good print jobs then she'll be in an ideal place, professionally and financially IMO.

I do think Cara has helped Jourdan's popularity somewhat though. She had 15000 followers on Instagram within two days of joining where as other HF models of her stature or even more successful barely get to 10 after having Instagram for ages.
