I loved her ten years ago, 2005, when she wore a lot of white cotton and denim and brown leather. a super american color palette but it worked so well and she seemed fresher and more natural then.

i think the reason why i don't care for kate's style anymore is because it's so thought out and staged. everything is too obvious, too posed....

I miss the Kate who'd wear items over again, tons of easy denim, brown leather, lots of white cotton--easy pieces. she was so elegant but natural. her style from 2003-2008 was ON POINT.

Agree, her style was much less trend-driven back then. That last "candid" (planned) look made me groan, it's not something someone would naturally throw together.

I love Kate's style. She has exquisite taste. Personally, I think her cute casual 2003 - 2008 look was perfect for a young woman in her 20's. As she grows older her look might be a bit more sophisticated but it's still fresh, fun, and very cool! That girl knows how to dress! The gown she wore to the Hammer Museum Gala was superb as is the Hugo Boss dress she wore to the Guggenheim. Stunning looks!! I adore the boots and the blue purse in the candid photo. I believe she can put looks together effortlessly whereas I'd have to give it A LOT of thought.
