yes, most celebrities and model do. she has over a quarter of a million followers on instagram. most celebrities promote items not through affiliate links (that would be crass) but just by being photographed with an object.

if they aren't being paid to promote an item they may receive considerable discounts on an item. for instance kensington palace releases press releases saying that kate middleton is not paid for wearing an item and she "purchased" it - what they don't say is that she receives press samples and then only pays a very small fraction of what the item is worth (10%). she simply returns what she doesn't want.

i believe that kate bosworth also receives similar discounts.
