As for Lennon and the rest, I think you underestimate how things have changed over time in terms of thing we aren't allowed to talk about. Those people were a LOT softer core than the musicians nowadays because that is what was available.

And Lennon and Hendrix by all accounts were good guys. I don't know about Elton John -he seems like a bit of an **** -but I hardly care about his music anyway. As for Doherty -he is just an awful piece of work. Spoilt beyond measure and unaware of the actual pain in the world.

well, sienna, i think that lennon is the best comparation... he had a son and a wife and still went with yoko, so it does give the best picture about him as a person... i am just pointing out that,pete is a sick guy, but it doesn't mean that he is not talented...
personally, he is the 1st artist after 10 yrs that i heard and i was like 'WOW!!!!!!!!'
so,he is very talented,he is a great artist, but i do not know him or kate, and i can honestly just say that they seem happy, they r both good at what they do, but their personal life and decisions are not my bussiness... besides, kate is older than him,than me,she should knoe what is best for her.

whoaaaaah you totally took that the wrong way! Jesus!!! I'm saying that what this guy is doing to himself would make it really hard to watch, especially if you're in love with him. I'm not saying it's because of his skin. And I never made any reference to other musicians! I'm not saying they're all 'stupid wrecks' Jimi Hendrix was incredible!!! It's a shame that great musicians tend to want to destroy themselves.

also, you can't deny that Pete Doherty is a huge wreck. Maybe it helps him writegood songs??...who knows. i think I shouldn't come on this thread as there ae obviously quite a few die-hard Doherty fans that I'm bound to offend.

You are right lemeray. Then again, no one really speaks about Britney's music in the Britney Spears thread anymore either. There is just too much.. well, media distraction I guess.

I would love to talk about his music though, but I get a feeling it is hard for people to be somewhat positive when it comes to characters like Pete. We could talk about DPT though. Or not..

he's not a role model,he will never be one, but neither is she...

he is great artist
they look good together,they should be respected for their work,everything else is just some version of the truth that papers wrote...

Kate Moss and boyfriend Pete Doherty were kicked out of the Shockwave NME Awards last night (01.03.07).
The supermodel was due to present an award to Primal Scream, whose lead singer Bobby Gillespie is a close friend, but never made it to the stage.
Pete was seen slipping a spoon up his sleeve and security staff feared the drug addict was planning to use the utensil to cook-up ****** and confronted him.
A security guard said: "Pete picked up a spoon off the table and went towards the toilets. We stopped him and showed him out."
Kate was reportedly found in the toilets looking "completely slaughtered".
Security removed the couple from the ceremony at London's Hammersmith Palais at 8.30pm.
Former Clash star Mick Jones replaced Kate to present the prestigious Godlike Genius award to Primal Scream.
In his acceptance speech, Bobby referred to Kate, saying: "I don't know where she is."
Earlier in the evening, Kate beat The Gossip singer Beth Ditto to be crowned Sexiest Female.
Other winners - all voted for by readers of the British music magazine - included Muse who took Best British Band and the Arctic Monkeys who claimed the Best Album accolade for their LP 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not' and Best Music DVD.
Kasabian were named Best Live Band, while Best New Band went to Klaxons and Best International Band was awarded to My Chemical Romance.
The show was closed by Primal Scream with Jones joining the band for a blistering performance of The Clash's classic 1978 hit '(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais'.

Well, it certainly seems hilarious that they would be black listed from this particular event. Primal Scream, My Chemical Romance - at the Hammersmith - I'm sure it's a real sobering experience
