Pete Doherty puts paid to the marriage rumours when he makes a return visit to the Ross sofa on this week's edition of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on BBC One

"Yes we did it for the third time, the ninth time," he jokes when Jonathan asks him about whether he and supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss married on holiday, "but no, we didn't get married."

He also talks about the constant pressure of being in the media spotlight:

"When you get away it's all the more special, you cherish it ... [sometimes] getting from the front door to the car is hard enough ... it's just the way it is, a lot of the time it's just 'oh look, it's Kate Moss's boyfriend' ... the other day we went to St James's Park at two in the morning, walked by the Palace, [but] by the time we got to Piccadilly we'd been spotted."

And he reveals his fame can also affect his relationship with the long arm of the law in an unexpected way:

"The fifth to last time I was nicked, the policeman had a badge on saying 'Pete Doherty is innocent', I was gobsmacked ... I've been face down [being arrested], before being asked 'you wouldn't sign this for my son would you Pete?'I said take the cuffs off, and I'll do it now!"

And he says he's at a better place in his life these days: "My life's a lot calmer, [there's been] a change in the fundamental way I live my life."

Tearful Kate Moss jets to Paris following claims Doherty 'cheated with model'

A distraught Kate Moss has fled to Paris with her daughter Lila Grace as her relationship with Pete Doherty hits an all-time low. The 33-year-old model is said to be "devastated" after it emerged her fiance cheated on her with a South African model called Lindy.

"Kate was calling around to see if anyone knew where he was, but everyone rallied around him to keep her in the dark. "She is very jealous about other women. Hearing about him spending the night with another girl will eat her up."
The claims will come as a further blow to Kate, after it emerged she is being dropped as the face of lingerie brand Agent Provacateur. The 33-year-old model is to be replaced by 18-year-old ingenue Daisy Lowe.

Pete smashes up peace offering

I WOULD call it trouble in paradise, but it was already hell. PETE DOHERTY’s latest attempts to get back in KATE MOSS’s good books have been smashed to pieces.

This trip to the doghouse started when the couple had a row. He headed into the West End and the posh Crystal nightclub, where he met a sexy brunette.
Pete was then spotted with his hands all over her in the back of a car as they headed to a pal’s place, where they spent the night.
Kate heard and locked him out of her North London home.
On Sunday Pete arrived at the house they share with a peace offering — a framed picture of what looked like a scribbled image of Kate and their cat with the poignant message:
“No place like home.”
Pete screamed from the street: “Kate, please let me in.” But his calls fell on deaf ears and he smashed the picture on the ground before driving off.

Trouble Pete Doherty downed cocktails last night and told fans "I'm drowning my sorrows as you never saw" in the wake of his furious bust-up with fiancée Kate Moss. The Babyshambles frontman sat alone in a Soho bar flouting the smoking ban on the eve of his court appearance for drugs charges.

He looked a haggard mess as he arrived to perform a secret gig in Soho's Jazz After Dark last night, while Kate still refuses to take his calls.

Despite Kate Moss' heartache, it was business as usual for Pete Doherty, who made a solo appearance at a London club. The model fled to Paris on Saturday, with her daughter Lila Grace, after junkie Pete cheated on her with a South African model named Lindy.

Moss is said to be constantly "sobbing" and last night pulled out of John Galliano's huge Paris Fashion Week show at the eleventh hour.
The 33-year-old left organisers in a panic a couple of hours before curtain-up when she decided she couldn't go through with it.

A pale and dishevelled Doherty showed up without a shirt on and red ink all over his smoke-stained hands. He is set to appear in West London Magistrates' Court today on charges of possessing Class A drugs, while Kate is expected to stay in Paris until she decides about the future of their relationship.

When asked to give his address, he started giving girlfriend Kate's St John's Wood address but stopped mid-sentence and said "actually that's changed". His lawyer then interjected to give the court an address in Hackney.

Chances are, if he's done it this time, he's done it before and he'll do it again... Cheaters are cheaters and I can't stand any of them.

i do agree.... but i fell so sorry for them... like it was the greatest love story of our time...and this ending is just so wrong.
