A fashion icon is someone who creates fashion ?*** Most of the fashion icons today are actresses and Edie Sedgewick, Nico, Jane Birkin,etc have never created 'fashion' in any case but were/are considered as icons because their fashion style were very influential to a lot of people (from the ones who wear it to the ones who create it).
