GOOD news for the stylistas who strip the rails bare each time a new Kate Moss for Topshop collection lands in-store: so successful has the collaboration between the two fashion powerhouses proved that Moss' design contract has been extended for a further three years.
Since its launch (to both press and public hysteria) on May 1 last year, eight seasonal collections of the exclusive line - which is based on Moss' own personal style - have been released, with the pieces worn by Moss herself invariably becoming instant sell-outs.
It launched in twenty two countries worldwide and has subsequently become available in Australia, Europe and the United States, via TOPSHOP.COM; it will launch in the US proper as of March next year, when the brand opens its first flagship store in the country, in New York.
"The last two years have been an exciting experience, and Topshop has given me the perfect platform to develop my own collection, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time," says the supermodel on her renewed contract. "I am really looking forward to working with the Topshop team on our new collections and thank everybody who already owns a piece of Kate Moss for Topshop!"
Among the "new collections" will be debut accessories and lingerie ranges.
Adds Topshop boss Sir Phillip Green: "I believe this has been a great partnership for both Topshop and Kate. Having had two years' experience, I am confident that Kate's collection now has the potential to become a significant global brand within Topshop."

It's so exciting. I remember being in London when the very first collection came out - I didn't realise she'd be continuing to collaborate with Topshop and I panicked at the thought of not getting the stuff I wanted.

 :woot: I remember that.. how didn't I notice?

she's one of the few that can actually translate her unique fashion sense into cloths others can buy.

^ well yeah that's because they look identical to the clothes she wore

I doubt she designs any of this stuff. It's seems to be a licensing deal where she probably pops in periodically and tells the design team "yeah go with that."

well thats what i saw on tv (British Style Genius on BBC)...the Topshop design team designs the stuff, then show her and she gives it the thumbs up....in very rare cases she comes up with an idea on her own...

I'm not sure how the whole process works but from what I've seen with MKA and Ashely they seem to be pretty involved with their line. This Kate Moss for topshop think looks pretty much like the rest of Topshop except for the 1st and 2nd season she did... Not that I don't like it..I do. But it seems like it's all the Topshop designers' work with less and less input from Kate every season.

I believe Kate is much more involved than you guys tend to think. She has a undeniable passion for clothes and fashion and she inspires the ts team a lot, I think:)

Yep, I saw that too and it really didn't surprise me. The designers get their ideas from Kate's own clothes and Kate just gives it the green light.
