KATE MOSS DESIGNS AT LAST

IT'S true – Kate Moss has officially turned her hand to design for the first time, having agreed to create a line for TopShop - so that's what she and Philip Green were talking about in the front row of the TopShop Unique show on Sunday. Kate Moss for TopShop will debut at all 308 of the company's stores, as well as on www.topshop.com in the spring next year. No word on how much she has been paid to do it but we guess her estimated £30 million pay packet this year just got a good deal more impressive. (September 20 2006, AM)

I LOVE HER DESIGNS!

^I don't think so. I think Alexa quoted a very old post. Maybe because she's new?? If you look closely, the article dates from 2006.

I just got my order and I LOVE THEM BOTH! *Happy Dances* I'm so glad I sized up. Does anyone else have the studded vest? Is it supposed to be more like a shrug? Because it fits me just like Kate in the ad, barely hangs over my...er...chest.

wow, dreams. you are lucky your order wasnt cancelled!

i would love a pic of it!

kate did an interview for usa today that was published today (usatoday.com)
Things are heating up for Kate Moss, whose summer collection hit Topshop shelves Monday. The style icon shares her tips for sizzling summer style via e-mail.
Q: What inspired this Topshop collection?
A: My constant traveling to hot places and long summer holidays with family and friends. The right holiday wardrobe is essential.
Q: How hands-on were you in the design process?
A: I thought about every aspect of high-summer clothes. For the beach, great bikinis and cover-ups, cute little dresses and playsuits for the day, and then something more special for the evening, cocktails 'round the pool in a long animal print dress …
Q: What have you learned during the creation of your second line for Topshop? How are things different this time around?
A: This is in fact my ninth collection for the U.K. but only the second to be sold in the U.S. I know now what works and what sells. I get inspiration from the places I travel, my great vintage finds. I become more inspired by every collection.
Q: What's your favorite piece in the new collection, and why?
A: The silk insert maxi dress ($170, left). I love the cut of this dress and the fact it goes from day to night so easily with the right accessories.
Q: You've been pegged as a style icon. Do you meticulously plan your outfits or just let things come together?
A: My looks just happen. I put things together from my wardrobe and see what works and feels right.
Q: What is your one must-have beauty item, and why?
A: Black kohl. You can't beat a smoky eye.
Q: What is your next project?
A: The next Topshop collection, my fourth fragrance launching in the fall and working on James Brown London's new hair-care range, which launches soon. And of course, all my modeling contracts and editorials!

:( Recieved my kate moss silk insert maxi dress today- have to say not impressed.

Not only a falsely advertised price but the fabric is a long way off silk insert! It's a horrible textured stretch viscose, no smoothness or shine to it as the campaign photo of kate moss would suggest.

Sending it back pronto! I ordered an 8 for me and a 14 for my sis so anyone waiting for returns to come back into stock in either size, keep checking the page- mine will be back available soon!:P

wow, there are quite a few new things.i like the pink dress a lot. but im going to hold off on ordering anything.

cocoliya, that dress does look familiar but I'm not positive. It is really cute though!

Karen Sofie, how are you liking the long leopard dress? How is the sizing? It looks awesome! I've already worn my sequin cardigan and I love it:smile:

Karen Sofie - Lovely!

I bought this vest from the Topshop in Oxford Circus today, it was the last one there and luckily it's a UK 6!

Dreams - I love the leopard maxidress. It's true to size, only tight over the bust otherwise floaty. It's see-through but it's also stated as a beach cover up, so you'll need something underneath unless you're daring:P

Vivalavida, that's a lovely piece I'm glad the 6 was there left for you:heart:

i finally received my kate moss for topshop spotted bustle dress. this was a limited edition dress that was in the christmas 2007 collection. it was priced at 150 pounds or 330 dollars, so there was no way i was going to purchase it then as it sold out quickly on topshop and was really expensive.

but ive been pining for it ever since i saw it in kate's runway presentation.

i finally found one on ebay brand new with tags for about 60$ shipped.:woot:

the dress is one size too big (i tried it on as soon as i got it in my office's restroom lol) i am going to have to stuff my bra majorly to get it to fit properly..but the dress is beautiful! the bustle is huge...and the sweetheart neckline is beautiful. i might also get it tailored for about 30$. i think its worth it. the dress is very "betsey johnson" at about a 8th of the price...

this has definitely been one of my KM for topshop "holy grail" items!
