Kate Moss For TopShop

so everythings all sold out on the website then?

the new a/w collection? there's plenty of stuff online ...i just bought the clover print blue dress and the leather jacket with zips which are really the only things i like in this collection and will buy because quality isn't really that impt, unlike say an evening dress or shoes which can look tragic when the quality's bad!

still not that impressed by this collection. I'm not that sad that I can't order it:innocent:

I like some of the them .I think it's better than summer collection .I didn't buy anything from the spring/summer collection but I might buy 1-2 outfits from this collection

I bought the stevie jeans and the tshirt with her face on online a few hours ago, it was to save me the effort of going to the store. i have to admit alot of this collection was very expensive and a little disapointing. i love the new pansy dress but £100 right now is to much considering how bad the quality was of the last collection.

Disappointing, overpriced and chavvy. A lot of it looks like it's come off a market stall (the bad kind). There are a couple of cute items (the little print dresses), but overall Kate could have done so much better considering everything she has at her disposal. Then again, I guess it fits as her personal style has been rather boring for the last year or so.

i did too , lol, i think those are the most "kate" looking things and best at that.

I'm not buying a thing--I'm broke, and kinda disenchanted...

Cross back vest with neck tie, grey:: This kind of goes to waste in (what looks like) cotton jersey. It's a nice design, but needs a nicer fabric if that scarf isn't going to resemble scrap material, left over from the sewing project this tank might embody, and resourcefully thrown 'round the neck. :ninja:

Jersey vest with twist detail, black or white:: Now this design works perfectly in (what is confirmed to be) jersey cotton, so I can't complain there.

Wet look tangle neck tee, black:: This is baffling, and not in the ideal avant-garde way, though I'm sure that was its thwarted aim. Hussein Chalayan would've made those tangled drawstrings fully-funtional, whereas here they're totally pointless, and will probably tear before posing a strangulation hazard. :(

"Doctor Who" scarf, multi:: I actually kind of like this, but it's utterly floor-length--unless Kate has been exaggerating her height more than we know (4'6" anyone?). You would need to wrap it thrice around your neck, to keep from tripping, and I'm a double-wrapper tops... (I'm trying to instill meaning behind this: Once means straight, twice means gay and three times means whatever's trendy...)

Wet look jersey maxi dress, black:: To be paired with the hottest bag of the season:

Sorry, I could not resist. I actually think it's rather cool, the dress. Not in spite of the fact it resembles a trash bag, but because... But I definitely think the irony can be used to good effect.

If I had all the money in the world to waste, I'd probably purchase the stud-collar top, laddered knitted turtleneck, leather jacket with zips and cashmere mix swing dress, to be honest. Plus the self-stripe shirt and chiffon button-front blouse, if I didn't own a ton of nearly-identical ones already.

:ninja:

jennifer, i like your sense of humour lady.

im disenchanted as well. the only thing i kinda like is the cropped leather jacket. but im not willing to shell out 300+ bucks for it.

more new stuff will come out in october. i guess ill wait for that.

I had a quick look at the stuff when I was in topshop the other day. Its ok but there are no standout pieces like the pansy dress from last season. I liked the croped leather jacket but its just not my style. The collection was rather small so i guess they are stagering its release.

hey i really want these two, does anybody know if theyve sold out already?
I cant find them online or intstore :(

I haven't been a fan of her first collection - the only thing that I fancied was the asymmetrical leather jacket which I missed.
So, predictably, the only item which I ordered for the a/w collection was the asymmetrical leather jacket with zips.
Other than that I think I can live without the rest.

Overrall I was disappointed when I checked out the first arrivals at the Oxford Street store on Saturday. The cropped jacket was okay - I hated the fact that there was the possibility of colour transfer - but I also felt it was pretty badly designed. The breast pockets and the quilted lining lead (on me) to a lumpy bust effect. The draped leather jacket was totally disappointing - poor large fit - for someone after Rick Owens at a 10th of the price. The material - "with cashmere" - and the fit of the longer boat neck sweater were also poor.

Topshop's own collection is so much better imo!

My order got cancelled as I "failed their screening process"?!
But I only ordered one leather jacket? Oh well, guess it's not meant to be... :innocent:

The zip leather jacket had a large fit? I own one from the first collection and it has super skinny sleeves and body- I'm a US 0-2 and the UK10 fits fine, though I can probably wear it in an 8 as well- is it different for the new collection? Weird...

^ I tried the zip leather jacket in a 10 in store on Saturday and in my opinion it was running large. The cropped leather jacket ran true to size however.

princessimp, i have given up ordering from the topshop website. tried to order twice over the past couple of months and got rejected each time. they really need to work on their customer service.

i didn't like the collection at all when i first saw it but now i've falen in love with some pieces :D

thanks for letting me know lucy, now I know I am not the only one :flower:

I got another email from topshop today on why my order was cancelled...they listed a few generic reasons, none of which was helpful.
You are right, they really need to work on their customer service.
