Yes- photos of them wearing much more than the swimsuits you see up on stage! But it got Donald weeks worth of free publicity....

She does have a nice personality, which is a factor since the girls are basically public relations people appearing everywhere, and it is the politically correct sort of choice; having Texas blond after Texas blond can be bad for the pageant's image, I would imagine....

You're right it was a politically correct choice. I just realized she's of Lebanese descent.
All I cared about pageants was for them to produce the prettiest girls
And NOW we have 2009 2.0!! The runner-up girl, Miss Oklahoma was asked in the interview about the Arizona immigration mess (by a Latino actor judge...) and answered that she favored States rights (cheers from the Las Vegas crowd...) and lost ...she of course, is now claiming she lost due to this answer, just like Miss California claimed she lost last year because of the gay marriage question! Prepare for daily updates- It will be HUGE!! The biggest controversy EVER!! A TRUMPTASTIC SPECTACULAR!!!

Well, two days later and Miss USA is all over the morning papers and TV shows! Good work again, Mr Trump!! Now Miss Oklahoma can take over the Miss California role from last year of going on to every talk show on earth to say how she was robbed!

^ Yeah, Doug Reinhardt, whoever he may be...My question is: Would he be dating a Miss Michigan who was back in Dearborn doing shopping center openings- if she was not now high profile and Miss USA? And, if he hadn't been seen with Princess Paris for a long time, would she be 'dating' him?? Memo to Miss USA- You will be asked out by thousands of rich, successful, high quality guys in the next year; wasting your time with this guy is a mistake....

And who should show up to save the day...?? 
After the auction, the lengthy court battle, the endless union negotiations, and one big, fat, neverending headache, it's come to this: Tavern on the Green will become....a snack bar.
Following a break-down in negotiations between Dean Poll, the Tavern's would-be operator, and the union representing the restaurant's 400 workers, Mayor Bloomberg has issued a statement saying that the city will spend the next several months soliciting new proposals from anyone who has the cash and cojones to try to open something else, and that during that time, the restaurant will be used as a "venue and snack bar...and also a retail shop."
As the Times reports, one Donald J. Trump may be interested in taking over the space: he said in an interview that "if I could help the city and the city wanted me to get involved, I could be open...It really is a special place. Only a person with a lot of money can rebuild and resurrect Tavern. And I have a lot of money."
