Kim Kardashian

I cannot imagine how terrifying that must've been.

I'm no fan of Kim Kardashian - but this is a pretty horrifying incident. Who travels with nearly $11 MILLION in jewellery?! How did these guys know that she had it with her? Something fishy here. We definitely don't know the entire story. I suspect someone on her team got a big payout. Just brutal. Also, this is going to make her even more famous than she already is and literally every magazine on the planet will be desperate for the exclusive "Kim breaks her silence on horrific Paris robbery" story.

When you're that famous and powerful, you really can't trust anybody. I'm glad she's safe and came out unharmed - it could have been so much worse. And no matter how we feel about her status as a celebrity, the truth is that she's a wife and daughter and sister and mother of two young children and this incident is unspeakably horrific. The internet trolls saying "Why didn't they just shoot her?" are beyond vile and shameful.

I'll be very curious to see how she handles things from here on out. If it will have any affect on how much of her daily life she shares with the public.

Is it wrong to say I'm not convinced by the official story re the "heist"?

I think her wedding ring alone is like 4.5 million, plus fashion week, I'm sure some of it was loaners, but who would seriously want to buy Kim Kardashian's wedding ring on the black market, it's too famous.

I'm also not convinced. It looks like a huge publicity stunt. Everything is so fake with this family so we can't really see what's true and what's fake.

i can't believe she wore those adidas sweats with heels and a bustier. omg, that's just so bad... -_-

^^ Me three. Sadly they've reached this place where from day one, they've gone to far/scary lengths in the name of exposure and fame that I don't think it's particularly heartless or cynical to remain skeptical. The 5% in me that does give her the benefit of the doubt also thinks that there's some irresponsibility in the amount of sensitive information they've shared with millions of people, if it's their decision and helps them professionally.. no problem, but imagine if her kids had been there providing it did happen.

There's something so staged and fishy about it though..

Omg It really looks like stunt.
She posted this picture with her bodyguard before all that drama https://www.instagram.com/p/BLEZ3ZuDxm6/?taken-by=kimkardashian

Nop, that picture was taken before Balenciaga show that took place in the morning...the "episode" happened around 3 am that night and the bodyguard apparently was out with Kendall and Kourtney.

I'm not a fan of the Kardashian's clan, I do think they fake many "stories" and to get a lot of attention they are willing to lie to have it all, but come one guys...Do you think they would fake this violent robbery?
Sooner or later the french authorities would find out and they "reputation" would be completely killed, not to add they would be prosecuted by the french authorities for lying.... Do you it is worth the risk? Nop, don't believe:D

Also, the violent gang robberies are somehow "common" in France...This summer many rich properties in the South of France were robbed in very similar situations like this and it happened in Paris as well.

You bring up some valid points here. i don't think the French police would be in cahoots with the hoax, in fact, they'd go out of their way to expose the Kardashians as liars. I'll be quite honest, when I read the story at first I purely shrugged and believed it was a stunt, but after a while when you think if it would actually be true, then empathy sort of sets in. It's their own fault that people are questioning them though. They share far too much!

Don't be too shocked, Jane! The esteemed Lucinda Bailey styled Cara Delevingne's September UK Vogue cover edit in the same vein. Lot's of sexy tops paired with trackpants, very 2003/chavvy if you ask me.

There are pictures of police outside the flat, so I don't think it is a stunt. I don't think she could possibly be dumb enough to try and con the police (because it is a serious crime...)

Of course her PR will make lemonade. Why wouldn't they?

The black outfit in the last post is the least horrible. There, now I mentioned her style :)

Yeah. I don't think it's fake. I suppose the problem with being photographed so often is that people know exactly what pieces to target.

it's weird a little that her bodyguard is so well known and photographed, in my experience working with people who have security that is a big no no, you don't want people to be able to recognize your bodyguards by their faces.

I'm a little sad that they are leaving paris because I thought her style at PFW was getting really good and unexpected.

^Kims bodyguard wouldn't be able to walk near her, ever, if he was to remain anonymous...

That's true lol it used to work in a field that dealt with the type of HNWI that likes to stay *private* and they are really adamant about cropping security out of pics if the pics are going to even maybe become public.

idk it seems too horrible to be faked, and this happens to wealthy families, e.g. Patty Hearst.

Maybe this will usher in a new era of pared down style for Kim?

"I know they are comfortable and they look amazing on Nicole Richie but flowy tops and dresses are not flattering on a curvy figure. They can make you look pregnant and they look sloppy in photos. Try wearing a maxidress instead. A.L.C, Torn by Ronny Kobo and T Bags make some great ones."

-Kim Kardashian fashion advice before Kanye West started dressing her.

I read that and had a good chuckle. They throw good fashion advice out the window to pimp his label. Why not get Kendall to sport his shirts and sweaters? She's the one with the figure for it. She could even cut them up like she's been doing with her t-shirts lately and get everyone in on that. Or wait....could Kanye handle people cutting up his precious unique, completely original designs? Probably not lol
