Yep, and the gloves. I feel the inspiration was a cross between the two. You've not seen Gilda, or the promotional images for that film? I'd probably have appreciated a 'Lady of Shangai' reference more.

^I have seen Gilda heart 10s of times... I am still not seeing it. Maybe I am in denial. Rita was so incredibly talented and charismatic. I don't want Kim to be associated with her in any way Lady in Shanghai would be okay. Rita had really bad hair in that movie, so I see the similarities

On a sidenote, wearing leather gloves in bed makes no sense. Rita wore a nightie in bed, because that was what you did... And she wore gloves with her formal dress, because that was what you did...

She didn't know how to dress comfortably yet stylish during her last pregnancy, I think she was so focused on wearing the same clothes she was wearing pre-pregnancy, she forgot that a women's body changes and not all the same things work.

Really happy for her and Kanye.

To be fair, though, I really don't think those dresses from that Proenza collection would work on anyone. Sheer, grommets, feathers -- it has the look of a quickly discarded sketch made by a try-hard 19-year-old fashion student.
