Gorgeous outfit
and i like that it's kind of matching rob's outfit, too...
thefashion-courtKristen Stewart was really missed on the pink carpet tonight at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, but thankfully there was a smart dude with a camera backstage and managed to snapped a few solo shots of K.Stew in her fierce outfit.
Despite the super hot weather, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ star wore one of my favorite types of looks this evening — a vivid blazer and black leather pants! Forever showing off her edgy “rock chic” personality, the 22-year-old wore a blue-and-silver printed single button blazer with black contrast lapels and a pair of side panel leather skinny pants from the Resort 2013 collection by Roberto Cavalli.
While it would have been a bold — and totally risky — move for Kristen to rock the matching tuxedo trousers from the collection, she kept it a bit tame. However, she brighten up the outfit with a slouchy double-scoop, off-white Fluxus tee.
Kristen lengthened her already mile long legs with black patent Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps before finishing off with her usual favorite rings along with a black embossed Maison Martin Margiela wrap bracelet, a Melinda Maria “Slice” ring and a white gold Cartier“Juste Un Clou” nail bracelet.
As for her hair and makeup — she rocked metallic blue eyeshadow and a side-gathered wavy mane with a single braid. On her nails, Kristen wore the nude “Frenzy” polish by Chanel.
I love her approach to every single thing she wears, but I’ve never seen her so at home in an award show look like I did tonight. This outfit is very much a reflection of Kristen, which explains why she looks totally at ease — and I don’t think there’s anything more stylish than that.
let’s begin with the makeup!
The 22-year-old actress was sporting sparkling blue eyes which, according to her makeup artist JILLIAN DEMPSEY, was achieved by playing up Kristen’s famously intense peepers by building luminosity. Jillian explained, “We wanted to do a pretty rocker look for the Teen Choice Awards. When you’re wearing black leather pants, you’ve got to go for some seriously sexy eyes.”
Jillian began with applying Makeup For Ever Invisible Cover Foundation HD Foundation before covering any imperfections with Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer.
When it came to Kristen’s eyes, Jillian blended shades of blue, charcoal and metallic to build dimension on the eyes. She used NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Brumes before lining the eye with Laura Mercier Kohl Liner in Black Navy. Jillian used three coats of Clinique High Def Mascara in Black to create ultra lush lashes.
As for the rest, Jillian kept Kristen looking her naturally beautiful self with pink tinged cheeks using Smashbox Blush Rush in Bare. For K.Stew’s lips, she used the Stila Lip & Cheek Stain in Bellisima before topping them off with By Terry Lip Balm for a neutral lip.
ASHLIE JOHNSON gave her a clean and beautifully polished manicure using the “Frenzy” Le Vernis Nail Colour by CHANEL. This high-shine and chip-resistant colour is the perfect way to keep your nails in tip-top-shape without opting for vibrant shade.
thefashion-court.comIt’s hair time!
Kristen’s glam team were obviously working as a unit when it came to her rocker theme of the night! “My inspiration for Kristen for the Teen Choice awards was royal rocker chic!” explained her hairstylist GIANNANDREA.
So, how did he create Kristen’s sassy tousled ‘do with a cute single braid?
“I started with wet hair and applied Kérastase Resistance Volumactive Mousse to the whole head. I used a wide teeth comb through to create a deep side part, and created large comb lines straight down the length of the hair. I then used a diffuser to dry the whole head without touching the hair too much – just slowly drying .
Once the head was almost dry I had Kristen flip her head upside down to finalize the drying process, and to get the texture raw I used my hands to shake up the roots. She flipped her head back up, and it was big and messy. I applied a paste to give it a bit more texture and to smooth some flyaways, but not all. I wanted it to stay messy overall.
I pulled back the hair behind the ear and made a small braid. I stopped braiding 3/4 of the way, and left the ends long. On the other side I did a few little peek-a-boo braids in the back of the head – one low and one on top of the ear. I shook it all up a bit and sprayed L’Oréal Elnett Hairspray generously on top and all over to get that chic rocker look!”
