Kristen Stewart

^yeah. I remember an appareance promoting OTR, she wore Balenciaga and she looked stunning. Not only her outfit was so well put together but she looked so confident, it blew me away. Maybe she and her stylist should go the route of Tilda S. and start wearing more pants and the such, cause I think she´s more comfortable and it translates to her attitude posing and taking pics.

*edit* there were two "mind blowing" occasions :)

If only Tara would read your post. It's so right for her.

The outfits you posted were so great and also this Louis Vuitton. She looks fantastic.

Excuses can be made, but when you accept the invitation for an event as prestigious as the Oscars, there is also an expectation to honor it. This includes grooming. I could care less about her off-duty style. Greasy hair and ripped jeans, it's not all the different from regular girls her age. She was much better last time, even her awkward cough on stage was fine.
Now, she came late and I don't understand the use of the crutches. At first, it seems reasonable, it is a long walk with many interviews to do. But why use it straight out of the car, but not the rest of the time?
No one is asking her to be as gregarious as Lawrence or as cute as Emma Stone. She can be uncoordinated, shy, clumsy, and twitchy but still professional. And let's not mistake this for not enjoying the spotlight. You don't sign up for a blockbuster franchise and luxury brand deal and not want it.
Some like to argue that she's alternative, grunge, etc. I find her mediocre, petulant, and predictable. Grow up

wise words!
If she continues acting like this, no way she will have a career in Hollywood (maybe some mediocre films). I don't think she has a real talent, and her attitude is even worst, she really need to take some time off and try to become a really WOMAN

i really don't see anyone discussing her style here anymore, so i'm unsubscribing.

Yeah, let's move on, the subject of her behavior/personality has run its course. Let's get back on the subject of her style. Please also keep in mind that we have rules against continual negativity that probably got overlooked in the discussion and debating, but will not be going forward.

Thanks.

85th Annual Academy Awards Portraits

You can see how badly the upper part fits. Why her stylist put her in that gown? It makes her look so flat chested :(

What a mess

She looks really dirty here, literally like she has rolled out of bed with the worst hangover. I don't get what they were doing here with her make up? And the bruises?

Hair is gross and she makes that dress look hideous :yuk:

One of the worst red carpet appearances from her ever... and what an event for her to pull that off at!

she makes that dress look hideous :yuk:

on her defense, imo the dress is hideous no matter who´s wearing it. The fabric is too stiff which wouldn´t flatter anyone´s body and the train is very prom night... what is that ruffle that looks like scales from an alligator? :ninja::yuk:

Why is her hair always messy - it wasn't always like that. Even in her candid, her hair was straighter and cleaner. Not sure what is going on with her. The dress does nothing for her and her make-up does nothing to for the dress. It's almost like she wants to look bad. Her people are doing a terrible job.

Why is there so much Hate and very little positive criticism torwards this young lady and her fashion sense on this board. Somewhere the "I hate Kristen Stewart" no matter what she wears has come out and it has overridden the topic of Fashion.

I have nothing against her personally (how could I, I don't know her!) nor do I hate everything she wears, but I am frustrated by how often she chooses things that just plain don't suit her. Soft, pretty, girly designs rarely flatter her and her posture betrays the fact that, well, she knows it. She often looks uncomfortable in these clothes.

However, when she wears sharper, more structured clothing, with a darker, mod or androgynous styling, she can look fantastic - and she stands straighter, with her shoulders back and her chin up. Since she was going to the Oscars to present, not as a nominee or date, I would have loved to see her wearing a women's tuxedo. That, in my opinion, would have been awesome.

As for her hair - I suspect that when she leaves the hairstylist's chair, it looks great. But she evidently has a habit of running her hands through it, especially when she's nervous, and I think that the moment she steps out on the red carpet, if it isn't pinned up or held back, she just unintentionally ravages the styling.

Agree, she used to look more comfortable in her tight minis but that became boring after a while so she started doing other styles but I don't think they've really suited.

And absolutely agree on the hair. In fact, I recall that while filming the first Twilight in 2007, they had to put headbands on Bella because otherwise Kristen would screw up the hair every single time by playing with it.

With the exception of the post-Oscars criticism about her attitude every post after that has been about her fashion style.
I think the problem lately has been some members´ attitude of "if you don´t have something nice to say about her then don´t say anything". I actually think we´re beating a dead horse in terms of the same complaints over and over (messy hair and makeup, ill fitting clothes, wearing stuff that she´s not comfortable in, etc) but it´s been like this forever...

That's not completely true. Yeah, post-Oscar there has been mostly criticism (eventhough I said something nice about her eyebrows :p) but in general people DO tell if they like something she wears, it's just that she makes the "wrong" choices (in tfs's members eyes) a lot when it comes to fashion and style. Sometimes discussions about non-fashion-related things come up but they have been stopped anyways.

If you look through the 29 pages of this thread you will notice that there are quite a few red carpet outfits, casual outfits and magazine pictures that were praised and liked a lot!!

The style is very cool. It's nonchalant. I like it. I feel bad for her (because of the papz).

Why do all her friends have to dress alike. The backwards baseball cap is the worst. They look like 15 year olds. They need to show some individual style.
