Ksubi Jeans

im in sydney and went to the tsubi store, i bought one super skinny zip in an 8 and the skinny pins in an 8 without trying them, got to the hotel and they are soo tight they wont even go all the way up...in my pheonix sun i have a 9 and its not that tight- i figured an 8 would be perfect...i mean it makes no sense that a loose 9 in the pheonix sun and the 8 in the super skinny zips wont even go past my mid thighs?!! is the super skinny zip diff than the skinny zip? i also realized that they are much longer!! i need to return them tomorrow- i think i even need a 10 in them since the 8 were just soo small...their sizing is soo wierd

uniq, I completly agree and its frustrating. I tried the super skinny zips in 8, they were soo tight and I couldnt get them past my knees. A few months later I tried a different wash and the size 6 fit and were almost a little big. skinny pins in 6 also fit. So then I got the purple super skinny zips in 6 and I could get them on but they were so much tighter than my other wash.

Have you tried siwy? They are another one of my favorites along with tsubi.

The crazy sizing is why I have yet to get my pair of skinny zips. Last year I tried them and the 6 fit me. Tried on the 24 at Barneys and it was obscene, they were so tight. I think this new 24/25/26 numbered sizing is really throwing things off.

with the ultra tight doesn't-get-past knees lines; physically stretch them- as in pull hard hard- and wear them in.

they do mould to your body and once you get it fitting its really perfect!!!

that said, dont get 2 sizes too small or anything it doesn't stretch THAT much!

PS Guessgirl- i've heard such good things about Siwy- do you know if any Australian places stock it?

Siwy are the most slimming jeans I have ever tried. I dont know any places that carry it in australia but if you go to http://siwydenim.com you could see a bunch of places that carry it online. The rose cut is my favorite but unfortunately too tight for me in the calves.

I bought a pair of black super skinny zips in a 6 recently, and I love them! I had a little trouble with the sizing as well, seeing that the size 6 went past my waist, but didn't zip/button up. The sales assistant offered to stretch the waist-band a bit, and although they were still difficult to button up we forced them to fit! I just hope the button holds on, hehe...

I had another question about the skinny zips, has anyone noticed that the Tsubi window logo is now stitched...I was told (by the sales assistant) this was part of an update...does anybody have more information about this? Here's a pic of the window logo on my black skinny zips:

i also have problems not getting a calf that's fitting enough and..ooh i'm so lemming for siwys!!!

must...find..pair..

is it true that tsubi's run on the small side??? I'm trying to order a pair off of mycatwalk, but I'm scared they will be too small. I'm reading all the past posts and some are saying they're true to size and some are saying they're small. I'm trying to get a pair of super skinny zips if that helps in any way

The super skinny zips do run on the small size...I have three other Tsubi's all in an 8, but my skinny zips are a size 6...With Tsubi jeans the sizing really does depend on the style of the jeans...Good luck :)

they overall runs small. at least lean beans and skinny zips.. consider sizing up 1-2, i'm an 8, which is supposed to be a 26, while i can fit a sz 24 H&M, superfine and cheap monday (the new cheap mondays, that is. the old models runned insanely small)

I'm really kind of in love with Ksubi's new wide-legged jeans for S/S. :heart:There is a medium blue low rise & a pale blue high waisted!!!

I've seen the high waist but I didnt realize there was a low rise too. I've been looking for wide leg jeans or even pants for a while but I cant seem to find a pair that looks good on me. Will have to track down a pair of these!

weirdly they did only one wash for each style, so only 2 wide leg looks for SS. the medium blue pair is kind of medium-low waisted...it's not very very low.

i love both, but i just don't think i could do the pale high waisted one at all. am i wrong to think that you would have to have a curvy butt to wear a tight high waisted pant? my bum is so flat, it would probably look like cardboard box....

your right my butt is a little on the round side  high waist brings so much attention to the thighs which is why I'm holding back but I may try it.

has anyone also noticed the new black high waisted ksubis on mycatwalk? they are SO high - they even make the model look a bit funny and she has a great figure, tho on the right person I am sure they would look great.
(i am new by the way but have been reading for months!)

Just in regards to everyones comments about the tsubi sizing being strange - i have the squwark skinny zips, phoenix sun skinny zips, tallina mid indigo vintage scooters and faded black lean beans and I am a size 8 in every pair - i have found them really consistent. Although possibly running slightly small as I am a 25 in sass and bide and j brand.

fake LEAN BEANS

oh also, was wanting some advice...
Here in New Zealand we have a site called trademe that is much the same as ebay, anyway as well as the fake grey scooters we have had heaps and heaps of fake vintage indigo lean beans popping up! however, im in the process of buying some off a seller who I am pretty sure is genuine and that they are authentic - however does anyone know of ways to tell fake leans beans? I am thinking of asking for:
A) color of pocket lining
B) details of zig-zag stich across fly
anyone know anything else I can ask? I would HATE to buy fakes - I think the market is a disgrace and also the jeans look crappy.

Do they do a baggier style ? I know that sort of goes against their ethos , the only ones I can find are the carrot style on mycatwalk which I LOVE.

they 2004-2005 range of tsubis had a few wide leg styles, possibly even 2006 and I am sure they will bring some more out in line with the whole boyfriend jeans trend! But yeah I haven't seen any pop up yet either.

What do you normally wear?

The scooters are nice if you want a relaxed fit - more of a straight leg and soo comfy.

however I don't see this carrot style? do you have a link. maybe I have gone blind :)
