Lad Musician

i preferred last years (even last seasons) collection to this one. a friend of mine who is a big fan of lad invited me to the show and he for one was a little disappointed- its a little less edgy than it usually is. looking back, i dont find it that bad, but i absolutely hated the droopy flowers on everyones shoulder...

but that projection display was the coolest thing ive ever seen... they had three sheets up, and since we were stadning behind the third, the images all appeared 3-d. they even had a live band playing the music for the runway.. i believe it was something like their 10th anniversary, so they put on quite a large show

I Totally  This Collection. In fact, the only thing I love more than this is Dior Homme itself. But...why does it have to be so expensive ???

Welcome back, Hed Kandi it's good to see you posting again (haven't seen you in a while.)

The Hedi Slimane of Japan seems like a pretty spot-on description, I never thought of it that way. LM definitely has some cool looking stuff.

Dior Homme has actually gotten more affordable this season, although quite a few members of the online fashion community have made remarks about a dip in quality. Personally I haven't noticed this much in the jeans or tailored pieces, although the casual wear like t-shirts and polos are pretty crappy. The fit also seems to be getting bigger probably to be more accessible to a wider audience, which is a shame. I like my Dior Homme to be as stick thin as me hehe

Thanks!

I was checking some of the pieces on ebay, and they're extremely outrageously priced. I can't afford $400 Jeans or $250 shirts. I just can't. Does anyone know any reasonably priced designers that make pieces that fit and look like Dior Homme.

There's a pair of Dior sneakers out there that I like, but again they're like $400. But then I was checking out Vans website and I found a pair of amazing ones for $37.00

And they're exactly what I'm looking for.

Other looks that I'm currently loving are Karl Lagerfeld Gallery

A charming japanese clothing brand. I don't know too much about them but from what I've seen in magazines and such over time - they seem to make nicely cut discreet clothing.

Here are from pics from kix-files.com of their A/W 05 Collection "Simplicity" scanned from Milk magazine.

I don't have a scanner, but they DO get featured a lot in Men's Non-no magazine. I think they have a very funny "Engrish" name, but their clothing offerings are unlike any I've found: a little Dior, a little A.P.C., but forward in a way that's sleek and accessible. Too bad their sizing stops at 46, which is apparently the reason that the only store that seemed to ever carry them, Naked (in LA), just dropped them recently.
