Unfortunately in Japan all the wrong people are wearing LAD already. I saw soooo many strange, unfashionable countryside guys or shibuya vuitton-boys here in Tokyo wearing LM-T-Shirts, who only buy it because of the extreme hype in jap fashion magazines(same with Number (N)ine,N.Hoolywood etc.etc.). So it makes you feel kind of emberassed buying that brand nowadays. It´s a shame because their designs are really good.
I glad that not everyone has access to it here in NYC then - otherwise, I might just drop any interest in the brand whatsoever! Do they wear just the tee shirts or is the look of Lad M actually what they adopt?

I think I'll wear my new jacket today - I feel so Men's Non-no just putting it on with jeans and a tee~! ;)

Arthur, I can't believe you scanned in the whole book! Thanks for doing that for the TFSers.

I now have two of those books since they include it with each purchase. I wonder if I should try and sell it on ebay...?

My pleasure. I was recently in Tokyo...and visited their stores in daikanyama and harajuku. Bought quite a few t-shirts....mainly Destroy and LSD Musician. Love their long sleeve tees...more so than the short sleeves. Tried on their jackets/blazers...did not have my size (46) though....a pity.

I, too, for selfish reasons, hope LAD doesn't become too widely available elsewhere.

I wonder if my friend got the last ones? I'm also a size 46, and she told me they'd tell her when they got in the black Super 100s Wool ones in, because they were sold out when she went there (just got them in yesterday - they fit so well, I DARE not work out anymore! ;))

She had never been to the store, which she said was quite beautiful - and this coming from an editor at Spur!

Arthur thanks for the scans! baklanyc you mean they give one with every single purchase? They'd need so many...

Ah am I glad I'm going to Tokyo in Dec... :D

Maybe they just gave my friend one with every jacket? I bought two jackets, some pants and a pair of gold gloves through her. Maybe they gave them to her since she's an editor and she got special treatment! :flower:

Licks - ew, ugh, sorry to hear that
but i guess that is bound to happen with the way the media works

ARTHUR...thank you!!

Thanks for the scans, Arthur. I like this brand a lot, such a clean look.

Sooo...they don't make anything above a size 46 for their jackets? I'm sad to hear that :(

I know they have size 48 for their tees. I would assume it's the same for the jackets...but I can't confirm on that. Perhaps Baklanyc would know.

ahh...48 that gives me hope, since I'm a 48 in Dior suits. However I have a feeling it will be a very close call, as I'm aware Japanese designers cut even smaller when it comes to those who adhere to the 'slim body' philosophy. At Atelier I tried on the Viridi-Anne wrinkled leather bomber in their largest size and couldn't even put it on, probably because of my height.

So cool... thanks for sharing the book!! ^_^

The girls reminds me of some of the Mortal combat figures with those cloths on their mouths... Yet so sexy.. grraaaawll :flower:

^^^

Yes. I particularly find the girl wearing all white, with the expressionless look on her face very attractive, the all white clothes make her stand out more in a way that's not exactly pure, but rather kinda ice cool and distant, if that makes any sense.

http://www.ladmusician.com/shop/knit/0506AW_34.html

So I've been cruising around the Lad Musician website, and I've fell in love with the navy knit cap on this page... the only problem is that I can't read Japanese, so I have no idea if they can ship to the US, or how much that would cost... anyone willing to help me out with this? It'd be much appreciated. :)

If you go to XE.com, they have a converter to give you monetary exchange rates. It calculated that the 6300 yen price of the cap came up to about $54. However, I was told by a friend of mine (who is Japanese) that Lad Musician don't do international shipments. You might want to try getting the help of Juno at Bid Service if you don't have any contacts in Japan: http://www.bid-service.jp/

I don´t know why but for some reason I cannot enter their website with my browsers (firefox and internet explorer)... did anybody experience the same with the Lad Musician homepage?

I would love to see more from this designer, So far everything looks promising to me, thanks for all the wonderful contributions so far!

I've done a transaction with Juno at Bid Service before and I highly recommend his services. Very efficient!
