Lanvin F/W 09.10 Paris

GREAT! STUNNING! alber delivers it AGAIN!!! i love those giant necklaces. and as for the whole collection, its great. great, great, great!!! i just love it!!! ;) i just don't like (well, not that much) the headpiece. i hope alber will continue doing this thing in the future lanvin shows! :) ;)

this is one of the best from paris for me. this being the 1st, balenciaga being the 2nd and dior being the 3rd. :)

Love it but the shoes are either boring or ugly. I swear one pair looks identical to the Miu Miu Fall 2008 shoes!!

^ I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I really dislike the shoes, which is bizarre given how good Lanvin's shoes usually are.

ooh i love it!

there's a sense of Alfred Hitchcock in it- very beautiful, and full of austere elegance.

I can't believe this was staged in a warehouse!! Amazing.

I suppose he is trying to say that even at the toughest/bleakeest times, women can still be glamorous.

You sort of got the feeling that once they passed through that altar of red roses, they entered the "Lanvin world".

Same here!!! Thats what I felt too!!! :) The red roses symbolizes womanhood and the world of Lanvin!

Whaaaaa I love it! It's kind of...heavy, but i really like this collection

There are a load of things I like in this show! Those black crocodile bags look very vintage.

This is turning out to be gorgeous. It has a similar spirit to his F/W 04 collection, but much less intentionally chic, more haphazard, mad even.

Between the styling, the clothes and the asphalt(?) pavement, it has a sort of prostitute via Brassai vibe to it. I'm likely imagining it, but that's what I'm getting.

I don't think you're imagining it, given his longstanding penchant for being inspired by sex worker/fetish shoes :innocent: But it makes me think of, not prostitutes exactly, maybe a step or two or three away from that ... women my mother wouldn't approve of, who come by their money in rather mysterious ways  It's like the underbelly of the city, a different set of people on the city streets at night ... perhaps altogether more interesting and chic people at that ;)

But I love it, and love the set, and don't think it's at all "best of" this time ... I see him doing things with draping that he hasn't done before I think. He's fairly subtle, but I see him breaking new ground here ... and agree with Scott, I love love love Deco, and can't think of anyone I'd rather see work the theme ...

Such a timeless chic collection... beautiful, yet strong. Decadent with an edge.. it's such a clever collection, so much emotion...

Thanks, vithul_l, for the HQs. The details are unbelievable :flower:.

This is my favorite collection, I think every aspect of it is superb :heart::heart:.
