Wow!! While a lot of it is good old Lanvin, he's ventured further with some of the coats, dresses and skirts in their voluminous construction and folds. How interesting he's moved away from the colourful jeweled colours to present a neutral collection - it really shows off his tailoring and construction skills. It's a very edgy collection by Lanvin standards, yet he's kept enough of the "Lanvin" character not to alienate the Lanvin clients. Way to go!

Alber's magical Lanvin is always phenomenal
especially appreciating this strong, powerful but still glamorous beauty and the 20s/30s pre-war atmosphere, women were exquisitely alluring with those volumes and accessories, wowwow, keep confident though in the really harsh times, wow
but i stick to his last F/W was the best until now:innocent:

This collection is Beautiful!
I can't wait to see Detail shots, the shoes look incredible.

for this moment, absolutely Paris winner, it´s fantastic collection

so luscious!
i was a bit disappointed with the summer collection but this is perfect. I love the head pieces, the jewellery, the colours.. pure seduction :crush:

I. Can't. Breath(or Breathe? I'm hopeless in grammar...)
Seriously, this makes my heart beat faster. (well I have Stendhal Syndrome so this isn't new, but it rarely happens:woot:)
I almost died when I saw those sunglasses. Want. Them. Now
Thank you Alber, Thank you!!!!

some early looks remind me of Vuitton FW 08, but better executed, softer, more feminine. it's so chic yet simple.

amazing im extremely happy he stuck to his
personal look..this is still Alber but it isnt old..
he re-invents each season

^The fabric doesn't look nice? why ?? :o Or you mean it feels awful @apertureromance

I thought this is a nice way to finish an edge..
using bias trim
I've been doing it myself, it is fine.. I do a slip stitch
It is sewn, durable, underneath and the trim is just to cover the edge

...

Hmm that makes sense then about the rippling seams shown in the current collection :o If it is on the bias, then that must be why it ripples...

It's not that the fabric doesn't look nice it just didn't seem to justify the price tag. I just remember a coat in particular from 2007 that was over £1000 and was just a lightweight poly cotton mix and I'd been in H&M previously that day and seen garments using the same fabric. I'm still passionate about Alber though.
