Lanvin F/W 09.10 Paris

Just so stunning after weeks of ridiculous, overpriced, unwearable, uncreative baggage thrown over top unappealing and lifeless aliens (Balmain, D&G, all NY runways etc)

Yes, it's so refreshing after all the crapp of the previous shows! That's why I love Alber, he always stays with his own esthaetic of true beauty and feminity, this collection is another fantastic proof of how much do we need him

Wow this is amazing and I'm glad he left the tackiness of Spring 2009 behind!!!

I love everything about it, although to be honest, this feels like a "Best Of Lanvin" collection. I've seen most of those pieces in past collections and he drew a lot from Fall 2008 for this (amongst others).

The head pieces are phenomenal though!! They make the looks instantly dramatic!!

alber elbaz interprets the deco period better than anyone. i dunno what it is exactly but since he was at guy laroche,it's been part of his world that entire era.

Easily my favourite of this season, it's not showy but glamourous and
really reminds you when in the past when fashion is fashion ^_^

Thanks God for Alber :heart::clap:
I'm loving it... He chooses fabrics like no other.
I'm in love with Iris' look. I cannot wait to see the whole collection.

YES! i've been waiting all season for this show and it's finally here. anyone have the FULL collection? i really want to see!

This is turning out to be gorgeous. It has a similar spirit to his F/W 04 collection, but much less intentionally chic, more haphazard, mad even.

Between the styling, the clothes and the asphalt(?) pavement, it has a sort of prostitute via Brassai vibe to it. I'm likely imagining it, but that's what I'm getting.

What a lovely, lovely collection.

I'm looking forward to seeing the closeups of the jewelry and beaded details.

I look at this and I see his Pre-Fall collection (which was deliciously decadent), then he edited it, toned it down and moved it forward. In a luxurious, desirable, chic and again deliciously decadent fashion. I love this...again no 80's here in Paris but just like Galliano he looked back at the inspiration of the 80's which were the 40's. And then he took it into 2010...fantastic.

I just love the use of fur in this collection, it's innovative and so fun to look at. that black jacket with fox fur is divine!

What's so innovative about the use of fur in this collection?

I think the word innovative gets thrown around too much. Very little of what we see on the runway is truly innovative. Someone has always done it before.
