Lanvin F/W 09.10 Paris

Beautiful!
Clothes, jewelry and wow those shoes, everything is simply perfect! I also love the fur details.

It's very interesting, kind of Parisienne-aristocrat-cyborg.

BREATHTAKING. i can't say much more, i just want to look at it again.:heart:

I think we all agree that there is ONE word to describe this collection.

Beautiful.

love the irregularities..

so the seams are left out on the outside?
and they are left raw..
what's causing this rippling.. a few of them have this

the only thing that bothers me greatly when i see lanvin at a store is that it has virtually no hanger appeal and the seams seems falling apart....

you mean it frays or the stitching is coming apart? ^

Love the use of fur, andthe dualism... I can get a sense of history in this collection as well as futurism. This really has put me back in a good (and hopeful) modd for Paris after the disaster that was Balmain yesterday.

Love the headpieces.

this is a magnificent collection...elegant and decadent but in some way kind of provocative and edgy too..
.it's beautiful without being too beautiful or perfect, if that makes sense, which makes me love it even more.

I've been throughly disappointed with all the other shows so far , this as always has made up for it.

I agree with the Brassai element who ever said that I can't remember !

oh yes....since the bias pieces are just held together or by bias grosgrain trims. obviously it does not wear and tear well

I'm always quite shocked at the fabrics actually , they look expensive on the runway but then up close they just don't justify the price tag at all especially when I could buy a garment at H&M using the same fabric.

^The fabric doesn't look nice? why ?? :o Or you mean it feels awful @apertureromance

oh yes....since the bias pieces are just held together or by bias grosgrain trims. obviously it does not wear and tear well
I thought this is a nice way to finish an edge..
using bias trim
I've been doing it myself, it is fine.. I do a slip stitch
It is sewn, durable, underneath and the trim is just to cover the edge

...

Hmm that makes sense then about the rippling seams shown in the current collection :o If it is on the bias, then that must be why it ripples...
