Lanvin F/W 11.12 Paris

This officially gets a wow from me. Alber delivered a wonderful, refined, and luxurious collection during this terrible season. He never fails to experiment and challenge himself to create something new, but still remain true to his aesthetic at Lanvin. This collection is a lot cleaner and more minimal. The silhouettes are glorious. There is such a wide range here; variety of outwears, dresses, and beautiful textiles. The jewelries and accessories are always a joy to see as they are always also the stars of the shows. Love, love, love the proportions! Thank you Alber, thank you.

Not really anything we haven't seen before, but always consistent and nice.

Actually it reminds me a lot of Daniel V's orchid dress from Project Runway lol

^ you said it all:flower:..  I WANT IT ALL!

Did someone run to the Parisian version of Talbots for the clothes and then just threw a hat on the models? Is this for H&M?

i love this, as usual. it's nothing new or groundbreaking but it's undeniably sleek and elegant. i see something different here and there though.... has he ever used that much lace before?

best of Paris so far Lanvin, Maison Martin Margiela and Hussein Chalayan

He makes desirable clothes. Of course the cocktail dresses are wonderful but i love the simpler looks, those suits with matching capes are great.

Alber is the example of what consistency is versus repetitiveness (I hope that's a word  ) of someone like Gareth Pugh. Alber is very aware of his customer, his aesthetics, and his techniques which allows him to experiment freely within that creating clothes that many will desire. He's got a formula that definitely works. Also, I think Alber makes some of the nicest and chicest daywear which is a plus.

Reminds me of Gaultier for Hermes.

Absolutely amazing. Lanvin always turns out to be my favorite show of the season and it's just like that. The flower prints could have been left out, since I'm just not a big flower print fan but all the rest is just flawless. All dark with little pops of color in between and then this fabulous colourful end  Also the pieces with lace are utterly beautiful + the knit in some outfits looks amazing. Can't wait to see all the clothes in movement with the soundtrack... I'm absolutely amazed by this!

slightly predictable, I was thinking about hpw the lanvin collection would look like while going through le marais today, and hey! my vision wasn't very far from reality...
