It reminds me of my vintage Dior bag thats white and rectangular. It looks similar to the Lanvin because of the chain strap which I tuck in to use as a clutch, but the clasp is different.

nice bag...i changed my chain to a heavier one that was more aged looking...i just thought it needed a bit of an edge to make it modern...

i think that's what attracts me to the lanvin so much...the rougher, tougher edge...

i still love it too...

i don't know of any stores in SF that carry lanvin bags, so i may have to wait until my next east coast trip. i know what you mean about checking the bag against your body type, and i do want to be sure i love it (in person) because it is quite pricey.

yes kimair...that looks new...i haven't seen it in the store...but i really like that chain...looks llike tortoise...did you check the website?...could be borrowed from the upcoming fall collection...

just seems so much more 'modern' than a chanel ...especially since chanel is the new vuitton apparently... ...and every little fashion vicitm out there seems to be running off to buy a chanel...it used to be that part of the appeal of a chanel was the exclusivity and maturity of the brand...but now it seems to be turning into expensive 'gap'...

I went past a Lanvin boutique today and I must say their recent collection of python bags with rivets are eye-catching. I saw one that I like but still undecided about the braids. It's a refreshing change from the usual brands nonetheless. Just wanted to hear what you guys think about the braid handle.
