Lanvin Heaven, Hero, and Heroine Bags

thank you lanvin for keeping accessories great. perhaps i'm hard to please, but i think 90% of designer bags are ugly, leave alone desirable. imo, a bag that's too ornate is silly.

a hearty simplistic leather styel would suit anyone better. behold these lanvin creations.

to be honest...
i lost interest pretty quickly...
i have seen people carrying them and i didn't think they looked particularly 'smart' or 'chic'...
they are almost too subtle...
to the point of not being interesting enough for me to love it enough for every day...especially at that price point...

so i passed...

I spoke w/ a lovely Barney's SA today, and she informed me that the brightly colored, patent-leather Lanvin Heroines were from S/S 2006, and are no longer available.

Does anyone have the number for Susan's? I know that it is a long shot, but I'd like to call and ask. Alternatively, if anyone has any leads on where I may find one of these bags, I shall be astoundingly grateful.

^^Jeffrey in Atlanta has a great selection of Lanvin bags (404-841-0215) - they probably have a good selection in their NY store as well. I don't think they have any previous season bags but alot of the new ones in patent/leather are awesome too. With Jeffrey I think you have a two week window for return for refund (ask them) - Susan's is store credit only.

if so...

I got it at Barneys over the summer during sale season. There was a lot of them available too, and I can't imagine that they all sold. I don't know how Barneys Outlets work, but we have one here in Waltham, Mass, so maybe there is a chance some ended up there? I haven't been to this outlet in at least two years though so I have no idea what type of stuff they carry, but it might be worth trying.

Either way I wish you luck in finding one as it's one of my favorite bags, it will be totally worth the trouble and hunt if you do!!

p.s. please ignore the dirty floor in the background, the hallways in my buidling are being painted and the construction dust comes in under the door...it's not really worth washing the floor until it's done...

OMG yes!!! That one and the smaller size one are both so gorgeous... Thank you for the suggestion, I think I will give the outlets a call tomorrow. I've also been sending out emails galore to the stores...

i have the hero in post #63 in black leather, but i love mundodabolsa's one because of the padded handle...
mine is a bit hard to carry because of the chain handle..i'm afraid to put anything heavy in the bag...
i do absolutely love the shape though...

Guys I emailed the outlet and Wrentham (sp?) and was able to find one in Navy Blue. But when I called 1 hour later to get it, the SA told me that someone just bought it. I am totally devastated...

Worse, the SA said that no one had even looked at that bag for months, then suddenly a girl did a charge-send and got it.

That is the saddest story!! You have my deepest sympathy . Truly, that would just kill me too. Did you find out what the outlet price was? There must be a Lanvin out there with your name on it that you will love even more. I've seen some awesome ones at Jeffrey. And keep checking ebay - maybe a "gently used" one will come up at a great price. I'm sending karma your way.
