Latex Leggings / Leather pants #1

Ok I saw citypigeons post and went to see the faux leather pants at h&m. They are a clasic skinny jean cut. Seams on sides, clean front, matte and thick. I bought them. I think they are by far the best faux I've seen. They are true to size. Even though I have had the AA lame liquid leggings over a year and it has gone mainstream, it was on a lot of runways for 2009 nyfw. I think we can get another arson out of it and if you like the look, why not.

i bought a new pair today at zara (my old one was just etting too old ^^) but i was surprised how short they are! i am 5'10 but even in M they are a bit too short arounf the ankles... well maybe with boots then

I am actually late whith this trend but i am excused since i couldn't find any leather or latex leggings that I'd really like. Anyway...better late than never...so i just ordered the kova & t oxy leggings. luisa via roma has them back in stock!

i think spring is ideal.
they are good temperatures
it isn't cold but also not too warm.

Haha I'm so glad I live in an area where most people don't follow the "it" fashion trends. Only when it comes to mini skirts, leggings and uggs are they involved.

Lol, me too. I have a pair of the shiny leggings and I'm actually kind of afraid to wear them because I'm from a pretty conservative place and shiny leggings are more disco and skanky than awesome 'round these here parts. I know I shouldn't let what other people think guide my fashion choices but GOOD GRIEF I don't want people to call me a harlot.

Yea, whenever I wear mine to school I make sure that the rest of my outfit is casual but everyoneee gives me stares and looks like I'm crazy. It's weird though since a lot of popular mainstream stores here like Forever 21 and H&M carry them.

I say Spring. Cooler to mild weather. Warmer weather is not suggested. Recently I saw two women wear them. One in Black and one in Gold. Look like Solid Gold Dancers from 80s. Looked ok. I like Black or Navy. I had tried them but need Medium. I didnt get them yet but will get them this week or next week. Only a few dollars and plenty around. On the other hand American Apparel has prints and colors. There is one at the Citadel in Commerce California. IF you got legs, wear the leggings. You will look great. Just not in Gold!

I tried on the leather pants from H&M. The smallest size was labeled an 8 (I think a UK 8) which was supposedly a EU 34 but the were still a bit big on me. Never seen H&M use UK sizesbefore.. But the pants were really nice and flattering. They were skinny pants but a slightly looser around the calves..

i think a UK8 is more a EU36... but i guess it may change from shop to shop.

I think that UK8 is EU38 but voguetta is right that it may change in different brands...

^That's what I thought but H&M tagged it size 34.. So I'm guessing it's the smalles size they have in them?
This girl is wearing the same pants. I'm suprised she fits them as a 34/8 ran large and she looks quite small..

MissyJG i've never seen anything smaller than 34... at H&M, so that def the smallest size. BTW they look fantastic, good shopping!!!

^they sometimes do make a 32 but very rarely. I'm no way a 32 but the 34 just runs a bit big. ugh.

i have a theory that any leather/shiny leggings will be extremely selective about whom they flatter. or am i wrong. please say i'm wrong.

you def need to be self conscious about your body type to be able to pull off the look.

I just bought a pair of super shiny silence and Noise leggings from UO that are ruched from top to bottom and I love this effect. They were $78 over the winter and have just been marked down to $10 at my local shop.

Advice if you are planning to pick up a pair of leather or pleather pants. They don't stretch and you always need to wear at least a size up...

leather pants don't stretch that's why in my opinion it is much better to choose leather leggings ( with lycra ) that stretch very well

H&M does make a size 32. Around here (San Francisco) I used to only see it in the Divided section (it's pretty standard there), but I started finding the occasional 32 last year in all of the women's departments. These days most styles seem to come in a 32, although there only ever seems to be one or two in that size (and they sell out quickly ).

If those are the faux leather jeans I've seen, they are in Divided, and I've come across a few size 32s myself.
