she looks cute at Rodarte....cool outfit!

i agree with some of the comparisons here...there is something of uma thurman in her face....carolyn bessette kennedy as well.. :flower:

I have to say. . .I LOVE the drama of the wedding dress. That first pic from Vogue looks like a portrait out of the 18th century! But I have a penchant for old things.

I like her style lately, does she have a stylist? She used to dress in such a contrived way so I wonder how she suddenly seems to have changed it up

I think I remember reading somewhere that she is dressing more conservatively because she married into a very traditional family.

She is a former editorial assistant at Vogue and vice president for Carolina Herrera.

she was never vice president for carolina herrera. she did PR for them, so maybe they meant she was the VP of PR.

I don't think she was ever a vice president for Carolina Herrera... I thought she did PR for them, as well as J.Mendel.

She's a contributing editor at Vogue and still styles some minor shoots there, and is also a consultant for a retail consultancy firm I believe.

I am obsessed with that feather skirt outfit.

Lauren is the daughter of Ronald V. Davis, chairman of Davis Capital and retired chairman of The Perrier Group. Raised in Greenwich and educated at the prep school Kent (where, she says, she modeled for Elite on the side), Lauren went to college at USC for a spell (she was a loyal member of Pi Beta Phi) before moving to New York. Following a short-lived stint at the now-defunct firm Network PR, she joined Vogue as a fashion assistant and was promoted to associate market editor. After three years at the fashion bible, she left to head up PR for furrier J. Mendel, and later decamped to a similar position at Carolina Herrera, before quitting in September 2006 to dedicate herself fully to a life of leisure. These days she's a fixture at events around town, a Vogue contributing editor, and one of Anna Wintour's favorite young socials... In January 2008, Lauren married Andres Santo Domingo, who hails from one of Colombia's richest and most prominent families. The wedding, which took place on Cartagena, was attended by a long list of Manhattan socials, including Tinsley Mortimer, Fabiola Beracasa, Zani Gugelmann, Karolina Kurkova, Barbara Bush, Ivanka Trump and Nina Garcia

^That Perrier connection has been dispelled ages ago.
She isn't an heiress or a PAP in any way. More like a classical social-climber.

I'm really confused about her background. I thought her father was the owner of Poland Springs??? At least that's what it says in her wedding feature in Vogue. Her life seems so nice *jealous*

^it does say that in Vogue?
Well I am confused now too. I initially believed she was the Poland Spring heiress but then it was denied by several sources including the defunct Social Rank. But why would Vogue lie?

Her wedding dress cost six-figures...I read that in Vogue.

Just goes to show connections go far, she didn't even finish college and has had some unusually good luck with jobs.

so she didn't go to USC? she's not an heiress? what is she then??? That would be weird though coz why would her hubby's family accept her if she's a nobody?

she did go to usc, but may not have graduated. she was with andreas a LONG time before finally getting married, so it seems that his family eventually reluctantly accepted her.
