Hello. My name is Laure Heriard Dubreuil, and I am the CEO and founding partner of The Webster fashion boutique in Miami.
But I am in New York at the moment.
A couple of months ago, I won the Best Female Mask Prize at the Save Venice Ball in NYC: I was wearing a Maison Martin Margiela Fall 2012 Couture look, with my face covered by a “veil” fully embroidered with crystals. It took more than twenty hours to hand-embroider that mask, apparently! The prize was a private lunch at Harry Winston, which I went to with my friend Lauren Santo Domingo.
We tried on some of the biggest stones we had ever seen, like these diamond-and-sapphire rings Lauren has on. How many carats do you think they are?
Meanwhile, I found that The One ring, with a cushion-cut gray diamond center stone and micropavé diamonds set in pink gold, was a perfect match with my Olympia Le-Tan pink skirt!
And finally, after trying on the most outrageous pieces, Lauren and I settled on a very “reasonable” set that we could split between us…
I’d take the Large Cluster earrings: ten marquise- and pear-shape diamonds, approximately 4.40 total carats in platinum setting…
And Lauren would take the Classic Cluster necklace: 153 marquise-, round- and pear-shaped diamonds, 51.48 carats in platinum setting…
Last but not least, all of the above had raised our appetites, so we topped off the experience by dining on delicious caviar and foie gras amuse-bouches. What a fabulous lunch!
Very Truman Capote, no?
