:woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: They are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     I just wish I had slimmer legs, otherwise I'd be rocking them already.( I am very certain that I don't look good in them)

thanks girls. is it casual or more dressy with shiny leggings?
why_fashion, i think it depends on the fabric, have you tried different types?

I think shiny are OK either way, but I'd probably go for casual ish with the rest. If the leggings are shiny I'd want the rest to be quite plain but that's just me.

eg I've got a long fitted grey tshirt/short dress with silver spangly bits that I wear with silver leggings. I wear that at night time, but if wearing the leggings of a day I'd wear them with a black or denim miniskirt, black flats and probably a blazer.

I bought some leggings the other day and they are great. I can wear all my really short dresses i own but wont wear cause their too short

Best accessory on the market. Many smaller retailers for women are carrying them in prints and now in fashion spring colors like light blue, green, yellow, pink, white, orange. other.

I'm very fine with leggings as long as they aren't under skirts or anything. I've seen one lady wear leggings beautifully in black. This friend of mine that a considerably long black top, black leggings past the knees, and some cute black flats. It looked very cute on her. Tunic + leggings is always a good combination if done right. Just don't go for the overdressed deal. I wouldn't recommend leggings with designs on them. Maybe a nice alternative would be lace leggings with certain designs like flowers. Only as long as it's all solid colors. Footwear is your choice. I'm okay with stuff ranging from flip-flops to flats. I don't like any sort of trashy rock look or anything.

If I was so hard on leggings in the past, I've at least clarified how leggings SHOULD be done.

I also think leggings are really versatile and comftable. The only thing for me though, is that I don't exactly like the trend where it's worn underneath dresses with flats. I've seen a few people (normally models) who can pull it off but in general, it's just not a style to my liking (I much prefer dresses with tights). HOWEVER, I do really like leggings worn with boots -and that's the only way I wear it. It's important to wear a top that's long-ish though. At least I think so...

Anyway, this is the leggings (the thick kind, NOT to be mistaken with the transparent sort ) and boots look I'm talking about:

Here's another version of what I'm talking about -the only difference is she's wearing ankle boots instead of knee high boots like Ashley above.

She looks great. That's what I'm talking about. It looks much better than having leggings under dresses

Any of the above styles are great. I personally like the Ashley and Melanie photos. I could pull that off with a nylon sport jacket. Also I like the leggings with a shirt n tie and loafers or with loafers like the men's photo above.

I've recently succumbed to the lure of leggings. But I just bought a cheap pair, 'coz I was so annoyed at myself for succumbing. :P
