I've eased up on leggings under skirts a bit more. Some ladies really do pull off the look without looking overdressed or dopey. I found this link in which people debated whether or not leggings were great articles of clothing. Check out some of these comments regarding leggings:

Some ladies really do have the actual build and look lovely enough to sport the look without looking overdressed. Ladies do say that it's a comfort issue that gives ladies confidence to proudly wear a miniskirt. I been confused as to how it became a SUMMER trend. The best I'd go if I were a lady is to wear pedal-pushing capri pants and have a detachable skirt to go with it. It's usually an off-balance deal. Here are samples of ladies I've seen who attempted to wear leggings with some sort of skirt, dress, or jumper of appropriate length:
* the usual pairing of a denim miniskirt with leggings. Usually topped off with Converse-type sneakers.
* a denim skirt with lacy black leggings and cute, shiny, black flats.
* a lady in short shorts pairing with leggings and Converse-type sneakers.
* a lady who wore a yellow jumper, black leggings down to the ankles, and wearing cute black flats.
* a lady in a white shirt with denim miniskirt, gray/grey leggings, and black moccasin-type shoes.
* a lady in a black top with denim skirt, black leggings, and tan cowgirl boots.
* a young girl who wore some colored skirt with green camouflage leggings to ankles, topped with flip-flop sandals.
The best use of leggings is with tunics. Reason being is because it's a true casual look that won't put you in too much trouble. Some people say that ladies who wear leggings under mini skirts either wear skirts with bare legs or simply don't wear minis. Here's a video game example. In the NCAA Football series of games by EA Sports, games played in very cold conditions usually have the female cheerleaders wearing longjohns in the cold. Still wearing the same cheerleader skirt or dress, just wearing longjohns in the cold. Just trying to stay warm. That's one of the only real exceptions to wearing such clothes. Very cold conditions usually mean you wear these longer and warmer articles of clothing. But if you're just trying to impress friends with good looks, you'll fail about as badly as the 2006 Duke University Blue Devils' football team. And that's that.
