Those j crews are nice, esp. the first one.

I can see the "zzzz" comment. But i don't think it's lily. it could be the direction of the shoot. They might not want her be "her" but to pose a certain way, show the clothing, and all that.

Not that I think her shoots are bad, just that i can see how they differ from her candids.

I don't think it's Lily's fault that she looks the same in some modelling shots and it doesn't mean that she's not a good model. The poses and facial expressions of the model are not all self-directed, a model has to take some direction from whoever is in charge of the shoot and if they wanted her to look any different they would have told her to pose/look differently. They certainly wouldn't keep on hiring her if they felt that she wasn't doing a good job.

Not always ... My cousin is a photographer here in Brazil (Thiago Bellini) and he always speaks of the difficulty is shooting some models and can take 2 different faces or even poses of them. He has photographed Gisele and said she is respected because she really knows what she does, and you don't need stand there trying to do miracles for her gives a different faces, is just click, click, click..... And even in catalogs and you can have more than 3 styles of work.
I think she is good, but sometimes...

I don't mind that she's not very exciting in catalog work, because I find catalogs boring in general. But it's unfortunate when most of the work of one of your favorite models bores you to death I wish she did more high fashion editorials besides all the catalog work and I hope she might get some great work now that she's gotten some VS exposure. It's not like every top model out there has a gazillion interesting facial expressions, many of them aren't more exciting or more beautiful than Lily.

I like alot the work that Lily did in the past, and I like some she continues to do. I think she's every day more beautiful. But is a long way for her be good as Adriana Lima (my number one of all, and it's funny that I never posted on her topic, I need start to admire less and write more ). It's also Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Carol Trentni, Raquel Zimmermann, Lily Donaldson, and many others today. Lily is walking to get there, when she has chance to make more editorials than catalogs she will be able to show if really is a good model, or just got lucky girl to have a great body and a pretty face. She was better when she's in beginning that his pics had more life and energy, it's kinda she had stopped to pose and daring in some recent works, taking off VS fashion show that I love her that day. Seems like she stood out. But in my opinion that just few girls I quoted above can be compared to Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Kate Moss. I never liked Naomi, for me she just have lucky.

Not to mention that Lily is a great person, always sweet. But many people have learn to separate the person from the professional, judge a work is not like offend her, It's very different from talking bad about her. But depends the way some people interpret what is said...

These is for everyone...

I hope I don't have caused any discomfort and not offended anyone with my posts. Sometimes when things are writing it may seem a bit rude or arrogant quite different if they were spoken in a conversation face to face (And being from another country my English is not the best), but that was never my intention. I love these board and even if I offended anyone I apologize, this is my way always speak what I think, I hope that in time all can know me better and see the things I speak are not for bad and here is not just a forum about pics, but takes fashion seriously and free for have opinions, I think that different opinions can generate a good return to analyze the things on difrente views and understand more about fashion and style.
