Lily's walk is really bad. I wonder if she only got to do Rag & Bone because they wanted to have Kings of Leon sitting in the front row I like Lily and think she's beautiful, but why else would they pick a model so short with such a horrible walk for their show?

I'm not the biggest fan of Lily's walk, not at all, but after watching some of the models walking before and after Lily on the Rag & Bone vid, I actually don't they walked that much better than her.

I think its unfair to write her off as a terrible runway model just because of one bad performance that unfortunately was televised. I mean Lily did book a Levis commercial that was all about walking and I don't remember anyone saying she walked funny back then. I think some are being too harsh because of who she's dating. She did okay at the show she was on cue, didn't fall and kept that 2nd coat balanced on her shoulders.

tamtam, i agree...some of the other models' walks were horrendous! So, i say, good job to her...i mean, these things take practice, right? Plus, i think that the walk was supposed to be more street like and not so prim and proper...not so serious...just an easy, everyday kind of walk. I think she did much better this time!

^ This is a silly convo but what the hey! Walking for the shows isn't as easy as it looks. And Anisla is right . Some girls will never be able to learn how to walk properly and some girls don't need any training. Its not rocket science, obviously!

I'm not going to say Lily's walk is bad. She looked gorgeous, but it isn't a typical show walk.

And you really believe it's two extremes and there is no gray area at all? That's kind of foolish IMO. Lily's walk is crap now definitely, but I think to generalize and say she'll never be able to improve is silly. Let's have some faith people!

I never said those were the only options. I never said her walk would never improve. Its a fashion show, who really cares? I was just giving an opinion and speaking from experience of seeing girls who can walk and girls that have been taught to walk but still can't.

That 'show walking' can be an innate trait. And Lily doesn't have a traditional walk and may never have/or be taught to have a typical walk!

This really irritates me....Lily was modeling long before she met Caleb, so to say that the only reason they would hire her was to get KOL there is just ridiculous. She is not the only model who has ever dated a musician, or celebrity, and she won't be the last. I don't think people in the fashion world really care that much about who the models are dating.

I don't think it's ridiculous to assume that. Yes, Lily has been modelling for a long time, but she's never walked NYFW before, right? I'm not saying she wasn't successful prior to dating Caleb, I'm just saying she is getting a lot more attention now and obviously this seems to help her get better modeling work.

BTW, I did compare her walk to the other girls in the show, but hers was the worst. There were others that didn't walk that graet either, but these girls had everything else it takes to be a successful runway model (tall, skinny, etc). And did you watch the finale? Lily didn't even walk in line.

Again, I don't mean to bash Lily. In fact I'm happy she's doing great now as I was a fan of her even before I knew KOL, but I prefer her doing edgy editorials to seeing her on the runway because she's just not good at it.

She looks totally out of place from the neck down. Beautiful face, terrible walk (by far the worst in the show), and even though Im all for variety on the catwalk, the layering of the clothes swamp her smaller stature and i dare say seem to make her a little dumpy looking. Now why she was choosen to walk? I have to agree with others - the Kings of Leon connection.

I'm not saying that it hasn't helped her get a little more attention but there are many models who have boyfriends way more famous than Caleb. I just think it's silly to think that Caleb is popular enough to be the only reason she was hired.
For example, my friends who watched the VS show recognized Jay-Z in the audience, if Orlando Bloom would have been there my friends would have recognized him, but I have to explain who Caleb is because none of them would have known until I say "he's in the band that sings SOF and US".

I'm a Lily fan regardless of KOL but I have to say yes she is one of those models who just photographs better than she walks. The photos of her on the catwalk are gorgeous.

I love the candids. She is SO photogenic!

Sorry to quote the same post twice, but yes I did watch the finale and Lily DID walk.....she's mostly hidden but she is there near the end.
