Lily Donaldson is one of the most successful models to come out of Britain and this morning she cemented her status by opening the Harrods summer sale.
Wearing a one-sleeved black and white Lanvin dress (a Harrods sale item, of course), the 25-year-old officially opened the sale at 9am this morning with showers of sparkling confetti raining down on the crowd as the doors opened.
"It's a big honour. I've been coming here since I was a kid for the toys," she said before posing in front of piles of perfectly wrapped Harrods presents with the Knightsbridge store's iconic green-clad doormen.
"I will have my eyes peeled today for a cashmere coat," said Donaldson when we asked her what bargains she was hoping to bag in the sale.
What are her plans for the future? "I certainly want to continue to model and work with incredible photographers and designers, however I am also looking forward to doing more charity work." Not just a (very) pretty face.
And how does it feel to be one of Britain's greatest modeling exports as we approach the nation's biggest summer? "I am very, very proud to be British and I am so excited for the summer. England won their match against Sweden in the Euro last night, which is a good start to the sporting calendar!"
We wonder if this means we'll be seeing Lily take to the Olympics Closing Ceremony stage for the rumoured 'fashion extravangza' that's set to take place, guess we'll have to wait and see…
