We don't know the details of Linda's relationship with Pinault. It's quite possible that he asked her to keep quiet about the paternity. Maybe he had promised her that he would eventually come forward and take responsibility, but he probably reneged on that. And perhaps that's why she went to court.

I don't think this is all about money, just because Pinault happens to be a billionaire. Linda herself is a multimillionaire and her current boyfriend is a billionaire too. So it's not like she needs the money. For all we know, Augustin was probably an "oops baby". And if she allowed herself to get pregnant, I think it had more to do with age, as she was already 40 when she became pregnant.
