Lisa Airan, M.D.

I see her on style.com a lot but I don't think she's really stylish, but she does wear tons of expensive clothes...just like Victoria Beckham

I would have never guessed that she was in her 40s. She looks like she could be in her early 30s.

I have to say though, for someone who's hailed as a great dermatologist, which I don't dispute, she has really bad skin. I guess she's a good example of how no matter what resources you have, some acne is very difficult to beat.

Thats so insane...you honestly cant tell...i thought she might be early 30's...as for her skin its not acne but sundamage and freckles...that hyperpigmentation could be easily corrected...I wonder why she didnt do anything about that?

of course she chose Rodarte. She singlehandedly keeps those girls in business. Either way, she looks fab and it was great for the theme

Wow. I was just about to post on my blog that THAT exact outfit (shoes and dress) was what I would have worn to the event. :ninja:

Love her whole look at the MET. She looks like an air or water goddess.

its a pretty dress, but in HQ it looks so unflattering in the chest area, her upper body hanging out in parts of that dress does not look appealing  and dare i say a bit too much for someone who is a respected doctor, but thats just my own subjective thought, which im sure most other people dont agree with!

Love Anna's expression in the last picture. I'm sure we'll be seeing Lisa's dress in Vogue's coverage on the MET in the next issue.

in HQ you can really see that the fit is unflattering around the chest area. gosh that is such a beautiful color though  and i really like how she added those vintage gloves. gives it a more superhero kind of vibe

she really doesnt dress like you would expect a respected doctor to dress. i honestly forget that she is a doctor sometimes, because she does tend to wear more elaborate and revealing outfits

As far as "the respected doctor" thing, she's a dermatologist. Not exactly saving lives here. I don't doubt that she's VERY good at what she does, but she does cosmetic procedures all day. So, she gets a pass to be a fashionista. :p I like everything but the shoes with the dress. A less complicated shoe would have been less distracting.

Ah, too much makeup it seems in the HQs. And judging from Anna Wintour's expression at seeing Dr. Airan in that dress, I would be surprised NOT to see her featured in the next issue of Vogue.

thefrancofille, I happen to love her choice of shoe because it is like a pared-down version of what was shown on the runways (replace the spikes with zippers) with a similar version of that dress. A less complicated shoe wouldn't properly ground the tumbling layers of lighter-than-air chiffon, IMO.
