tonight's episode was good but not as exciting as i expected. i cant believe they didnt reveal anything about the nikki/paulo situation. i want to know what happens!!!! ok white -> i dont blame juliet for keeping the handcuffs on kate. i would be afraid that she was going to abandon me 2. thats exciting that jack is going to make it back to their side of the island. yay for a reunion.
thats interesting that kate and sawyer's girlfriend worked together. kate's mom is really mean. i mean wow!
that was funny what hurley did to sawyer. good thing sawyer saw that he should try to be nicer to everyone. looks like everyone was getting used to him, well everyone except for Sun

^Well, the Nikki/Paolo question has been answered by the producers. From EW:
REQUIEM FOR THEORIES DEBUNKED
In which Doc Jensen grieves the demise of his Nikki-and-Paulo time loop and resurrection theories, and seeks clarification from the producers on whether the buried-alive duo are taking a permanent dirt nap — or only just napping.

For the past several weeks, I have been maniacally tubthumping two different theories about the most derided pair of characters in Lost history, Nikki and Paulo. The first: Due to Desmond's time-altering leap into the past, Bernard and Rose were replaced by Nikki and Paulo. The second: A contingent of rebellious Others have been plotting the psychic takeover of several castaways, beginning with the bodies of the two diamond-swiping murderers. Last week's episode seemed to drive a stake into the heart of the souljacking theory — or did it? Might we see Nikki and Paulo claw their way out of their graves? And is my Bernard and Rose time-swap theory still in play?

Looking for answers, I appealed to The Powers That Be. This what I got.

In the Nikki and Paulo episode, Sawyer once again failed to recognize Nikki. Was his ''Who the hell are you?!'' line evidence that a history-altering shift had occurred, and Sawyer was the only one not affected by it?
No, says executive producer Carlton Cuse. Sawyer's line was merely meant to be a wink that acknowledged the audience's less-than-enthusiastic regard for Nikki and Paulo. In other words, he was only saying what so many of you were thinking.

Okay. But what about the Mystery of the Missing Scene? According to publicity images released to the web to promote last week's episode, a scene was shot recreating last season's Purple Sky Event, placing a screaming Nikki on the beach next to Bernard. The scene wasn't included in last week's episode, leading some fans to speculate that producers decided to shift course and embrace the B&R/N&P swap idea. True?
According to Cuse, the scene was cut simply because the episode was too long.

So what about the final fate of Nikki and Paulo? On a scale of 1 to 10, just how dead are they?

10 = Dead as dead can be.
5 = You never know: maybe some dead Others will inhabit their bodies and crawl out of those graves!
1 = Resurrection Island, baby!

Damon Lindelof replies: ''Paulo and Nikki are a full-on Nigel Tufnel 11!!!''
And there you have it. Nikki and Paulo, dead as dead can be. And I also have it on good authority that we'll be seeing Bernard and Rose on the beach again, possibly very soon.

So rest in peace, my kooky theories. It was fun while it lasted.

oh i didnt read it because someone said spoiler alert and i hate spoilers

good to know though, they really should make that clear on the show. shouldnt have to hear it from the producers

I loved the look on Kate's face when Jack asked specifically where Juliet was...ouch! A double whammy after Juliet told her all that stuff about Jack

And Sawyer and Hurley! There's no better duo, truly :buzz:

And I still can't get over that Kate's mom's actress also played Aunt Zelda on Sabrina the Teenage Witch  It brings back memories, that's for sure!

Finally saw the new episode - another great one! I loved the part where we found out what the fences were for!

Oh I realized Kate's mom was the aunt from Sabrina too. Oh the good old days :)

white -> i think its weird that juliet wasnt afraid of the black smoke after they were past the fence. i mean when they were being chased by it she had no idea what it was. so it sounded like she hadnt had an experience with the black smoke before. if she hadnt encountered the smoke before how would she know that the fence would stop it?!
Oh and Kate's face was timeless. you could tell that she was jealous of juliet after jack asked for her

I am super slow...just finished watching last epp last night.

It's weird, kind of, I mean the black smoke is smoke (or a flying monster), which means it should be able to fly over the fence, unless the fence is sky high.

Do you think Kate wants to go back to the real world? She is a fugitive after all. She might not have a future with Jack.

I have a feeling Juliet's going to backstab Ben, though -- don't take anything on this show at face value! I'll bet anything that Ben promised to get her off the island after she finishes this "mission," but maybe she knows he won't, so she'll play him instead...

We'll see in due time! :shifty:

The scene with Ben and Juliet makes me feel that Juliet is a manipulator as well.

You are right! God, that smirk on her face when Jack said she is under his protection. During the whole episode I just wanted to slap Jack.
I'd like to know everything that Sayid wants to know. ^_^

This episode totally changed me from a Jack/Kate fan to a Sawyer/Kate fan! Sawyer is so nice and cute now  But I'm sure I will switch back in a few eposides or something!
