Louis Vuitton Cruise 2009 : Catherine McNeil by Patrick Demarchelier

I think it does.. the background. She is lying down on the Boat instead of standing up like in the previous shots.

In fact, the ones she is wearing a visor and the on the boat looks different...

^ Thanks for the scans surrealseven.. Are those from In Style Magazine?

^ Nope, they are from Style: Magazine, a local fashion mag here in Singapore :flower:

Oh, wow! Ok.. Thanks for the info and thanks again for the new snaps!

thanks for the new ads surrealseven :brows:
I'm surprised to see more shots, after the one's with Raquel and Rachel when we only say 1 and 2

thanks for the new scans. I like the ones with the coloured accesories better.

So, is it confirmed that Mert and Marcus shot this campaign.. I've read somewhere that its by Demarchelier..

Actually it isn't confirmed yet, just many of our members assumed it's their work, cause it looked so much like. The other sources you get like models.com, basically get their info here.

looking at the other pictures now, i think that this is not mert and marcus at all. i think that it is demarchelier.

to be sincere those are very good .... and god knows i'm not fond of Cruise campains at all (because of the too easy focus on access.) but there there's something good in it ... and it tells a LV story without being crappy or boring ... it's pretty simple .... it's, imo, more clever (in the sense of SELLING the LV image) than the LV main campains (that basically sell more the MJ-in-the-LV than the LV itself - if that can make sense to any of you) ...
The lake, the beautiful (but not too sexy) young woman, the Riva Aquarama ... on a lake in Italy (it seems from sources there) .... it is what a LV woman is ....
but i'm kind of feeling bad that this season LV woman is back to the late 90s logo period, when MJ managed for certain collections to invent the no-logo-chic woman - we owe him this, i can tell (ie i spend 1000€ on a dress but nobody knows it) .... but that's the CRUISE campain, so basically it's just about logos logos logos ....

no in general it's very good campain .... for LV Cruise !

oh i've read someone making a reference to that last Adriana Lima's story in VP .... well, sincerely i doubt we can compare both of them ... Adriana Lima's story was an EDITORIAL in a special fashion magazine (VP) and that was a bad story .... my opinion ....
there it's a CAMPAIN spread in ANY magazines .... so there's a huge difference, quand même ....

i get what you mean. it's the wealthy Vuitton girl who's enjoying some vacational days at Lake Como (at least, that's what it looks like to me), tanning, enjoying the Dolce Far Nienta on a boat, tanning, etc.

it's like a Michael Kors S/S campaign, with the sun and warmth radiating through the pics. but while Kors is taken a more paparazzi approach, giving a broader view of "jet set life", this Vuitton campaign shows really focused scenes in oversaturated technicolor, a dream, while the Kors approach looks more realistic (well... ad campaign realism).

it's really one of the few campaigns by Vuitton which sells the quintessential idea of a "Vuitton-girl". rich and gorgeous beyond believe, totally unattainable, yet totally desirable to so many girls in the world.
