A lot of people are rooting for her in the industry and tbh, after 2 « stars » designers, it make sense to have someone known to build some sort of excitement.I mean…I think this is a very risky decision for Kering frankly speaking. But after ancora boy in Gucci nothing surprises me lol. Very curious to understand why it was Louise that got the job instead of pushing for an internal promotion ( BV design team has aplenty of competent professionals in there)
I get you, but she has really big shoes to fill after Lee and even Blazy… and will BV like a CD that doesn’t create hype? Time will tell I guessA lot of people are rooting for her in the industry and tbh, after 2 « stars » designers, it make sense to have someone known to build some sort of excitement.
Even more when we don’t know who is leaving BV with Blazy.
I wonder where she will be based though.
Her last Carven was not impressive, more of an audition for The Row.A lot of people are rooting for her in the industry and tbh, after 2 « stars » designers, it make sense to have someone known to build some sort of excitement.

Who is rooting for her ?
Maybe that's what Kering wants — to turn Bottega Veneta back to its more sedate luxury roots, perhaps to be compete with LVMH's Loro Piana. Both Bottega Veneta and McQueen have been moving away from luxury toward a more trend-focused fashion position, so it would make sense to reorient one of them back towards luxury, especially as Kering seems to have no inclination to change Balenciaga's current brand trajectory. Her last Carven was not impressive, more of an audition for The Row.
Who is rooting for her ?
Kering have (finally) recruited an intelligent lady with strong values, one whom has a great following of professional women who feel empowered by what she stands for and designs according to that..I am excited to see how she uses the atelier and savoir faire of BV...She has never had a machine behind her like that so I really hope she pushes her creative limits to the maxIndustry people.
It may have more to do with her personality.
I wasn’t a fan of her last Carven either but I loved her Lacoste and what she did at Joseph.
I think her fashion sensibility goes well with BV. I hope she will be more gentle with her oversized silhouettes.
