i wish luella itself would make one "for men," in a really large, tall size with a shorter handle and without the little heart thing

Before the Luella bags were being as massed produced as they are now they did do a very large giselle. It is actually the one that Giselle originaly took down the runway. I dont know if they were ever sold, but they did do them. Might be able to track one down, and that heart thing is just tied on, comes off very easily.

You are so right, here is the picture of Gisele with the 1st 'Gisele bag' - she must be at least 6 ft tall, so it would probably look fine on a guy, I've never actually seen this bag in person though, plus the tan colour is a bit more unisex, perhaps a large gisele in the signature pink might look a little much on a guy though! . . .

Luella seems to have read our thoughts

I've just spotted this new bag from her on www.brownsfashion.co.uk website its in canvas and leather and although it says it the same size as the classic Gisele it certainly looks to be the larger proportion as Gisele is carrying and at 595 pounds it must be a bigger size as the classic size is 495 pounds in all leather

I think without the hearts it will look unisex

Must say I like it a lot! It makes the Gisele bag look really cool again

Even i like the huge Gisele bag it looks great as a big bag, but as its normal size it just looks way to busy for me, also i LOVE those boots . I really like the Gisele in tan aswell it looks best in tan i think.

mmm, really, really, beautiful, now I remember why that bag became such a hit, the tan is definitely the best version, have to say it does help seeing it on its namesake

I have to have one, I bet the canvas one is more practical too as it will be lighter

The big tan version shows the true inspiration of this bag...the Birkin. The handles and top straps are the same - Luella just busied it up a little! I think it all comes doen to the fact that it is very hard to create a totally original handbag, all the good lines have been used already.

I agree a little cute, but you really can't blame Luella for it looking to Juicy Couture, they have been copying Luella's bags! Juicy Couture is horrible!

i know juicy copies off luella, but i just dont like the fact how the giselle bags evolved from birkin-ish classic to juicy-cute...

i mean, yeah juicy was copying luella, but that doesnt mean luella has to keep on making bags that look (more and more) like juicy.... pretty pastels with... horseheads? thats definitely leaning towards the juicy zone.. they didnt have to do that... i wanted them to go for the chic modern hermes image..

(and yes.. juicy is horrible.. they copy... EVERYTHING )
