eh, definitely not feeling the polos...the second one looks EXACTLY like this Kent & Curwen polo i saw a while back.

i think youve seen the polos in person right? the white one is mesh and the navy/gray stripe one is pique mercerized. the navy/gray is also the treated one, i love how it feels, its so soft and light. im pretty satisfied with them ill be getting some more. and yea i tried it on with a shirt underneath and it looks great, its more fitted i guess id ont need a small after all

nvm danimal you were right, the ones at barneys are 465 maybe i was hallucinating that day i thought i saw 385 :flower: . i received the white jeans and the orange blue jeans today in size 30 21cm. they fit perfect however i think a 29 waist wouldve been ideal and tighter, but these are great.

Does anyone know when they updated their merchandise? its seems like their stocks of chloe/missoni and suh have been the same since the begining of fall!!!

sort of ot, but not really: my brother just had to go to court with fed ex to deal with these extra charges they gave him for having supposedly oversize boxes. the dumb part is that his sales rep had measured the boxes personally and assured my brother than they were under the max size. so when my brother went to court, the fed ex employee testified against fed ex. it was for way more than the customs charges though, so i don't know if it's really worth it for any of you to contest them...it just seems like fed ex doesn't really know what they are doing but they always err on the side of them getting more money (i'm not surprised, but it's dumb/sad).

US Customs Fee

How much customs fees should I expect if I order from Euro based online stores like luisaviaroma.com? I noticed that the stuff there are a little cheaper than boutiques in the US, especially after the 16% VAT reduction. But how much are US customs fees?

Sorry, I don't know an exact answer to your question but I know from the US to Ontario it goes like this:
Items made in the USA; 15% tax on total
Items imported to the USA; 25% duty, 15% tax on total
Then there is an excise tax on jewelry. The Euro - US system might be similar to this. :ninja:

does anyone know if they still stock the label noir?

it seems that's the only want to get that label in the states...

I managed to find LuisaViaRomas boutique/showroom in Rome (after three days of asking for directions for the adress I found, no one had heard of it. I understood why when I finally found it, the street was so small and so off track, actually the only thing located in this 5 meter "street" was LVR, nothing else  but what a fantastic place it was, and such genuinely loveable people there  ) so there I got a black cropped Chloe jacket that can be buttoned in several ways.. and a grey-ish Giorgio Brato leather jacket.

Hotness!

A little confused - I know Luisa via Roma is in Florence. What's in Rome?

Thanks! Just checked tracking and it'll be here tomorrow ^_^ Can't wait!
Actually, although their main store and administration is in Florence, LVR have a really small boutique in Rome as well; the one I went to. I found the adress at the LVR web site at the "Visit our boutiques"-section, it's called Luisa Via Roma De Grillis Boutique, Rome!

and also thanks caffeine, guessgirl, skot4mc and cutxpaste!

The two posts above Hanne copied from the information I had written in the Shopaholics thread about LVR to this LVR thread and asked me to share the LVR Rome boutique adress here. The adress is Via Campo Carleo at Piazza Grillo. Actually that is a really really small and unknown street it didn't even appear on any of the maps I had and not a single person I asked for directions had heard of it, so I'll give directions as well. In the rome yellow pages detailed map sections it might appear if you look for the map of the area near Forum Trajano. Actually the only thing in this mini side street is LVR or De Grillis Boutique as it's called. Anyways, to find it you just walk behind the Forum of Trajan, up the long stairs behind it and carry on forward untill you can turn right, go down the small hill and then you'll be at Piazza Grillo and LVR is at your right! It's a really lovely boutique and very friendly people working there

Thank you so much therese

I made a map of the location

I love this site, but they sure do go through merchandise quickly! So do you have to pay fees when you order or not?

i've bought from them before but it was just a dior t-shirt.
came out to $180 total, which is close to what retail would be.
i'm not sure but i remember getting a call from fedex as well asking questions about the item. don't remember them charging me anything, but i'm not that positive so don't hold me to that.

when you are checking out it asks if this is a gift or not.
i think depending on what you choose, you get import fees.
can anyone varify that.

cause i'm planning on getting a few things as well, and a few extra dollars in my pocket is always welcomed.

When my dior shoes came in, there was no call and there were no duties at all. They just had my uncle sign for it and thats it. I had it sent to my relatives in the States because Canadian Customs is a beech. Oh and I didn't mark it as a gift.. i thought they would add on some extra expenses for special wrapping or something.

if anybody wants to combine orders to get freeshipping please let me know...I'm eyeing on a couple of items.

ok so i just recently ordered something, and i got the call from fedex asking me if i had ordered something from italy. of course i said yeah.
so it basically comes down to if the item is worth more then $250 then you will have to fill out some paperwork and probably pay a fee.
my item was a few dollars over $250 but the nice fedex lady ammended the price so that it seemed like it was less then $250.
received my item promptly and haven't paid any fees...yet.:innocent:
