Lupita Nyong'o

I hope Lupita steers clear of fussy couture. Dresses like that would only overwhelm her petite frame. Her best looks have been the streamlined dresses in vibrant colors that let her beautiful skin tone and superb physique take center stage. All the ruffles, drapery and other superfluous details would only detract from her beauty so please no Dior, Lanvin and for the love of god no Marchesa.

I think she should go back to Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein-- perhaps a custom piece in a vibrant color.

I think her stylist has

Styling is a collaborative effort between the stylist and subject. Practically all the actresses have stylist yet how many manage to look as good as Lupita? The actress has the ultimate say in what she chooses to wear and Lupita has consistently made the right choices.

Agreed. As is evidence of the many actresses who employ great stylists and still manage to look like rubbish on the regular.

I can't wait to see her on Jimmy Fallon tomorrow. His show is really fun so I'm sure we'll get to see a bit more of her fun personality. I hope he has her play one of his games! That would be great.

Totally agree, I was going to say the same thing about how vibrant colors just look so beautiful on her. Not too many fluffy fabrics, just a no bull dress hugging her in the right spots with perfect tailoring.

100% agree with everything you said.

The couture collections are proving to be disappointing in their lack of vibrant colors. I think Lupita will end up going with a Ready To Wear look for the Oscars.

That picture from Vogue in #326 is breathtaking.
The pose, the ensemble, the body...
And her facial expression looks so natural and calm.
Iconic image!

Looking divine! Didn't Diane Kruger also once wear this gown to an event?
