She's so fabulous and she's on a roll - all her latest outfits are completely spectacular <3

She's had an incredible run. Her style was starting to become a little hit-and-miss. I hope she continues wearing the head pieces after she stops promoting Queen of Katwe.

Time Out: London.

I think she´s overdoing the head pieces but she looks great in everything she wears, I can´t believe this woman exists!!

I tend to disagree to this remark. Lu is promoting a Disney film made in Africa, directed by an African-based director and showcasing a story line, whereby the main protaganist is a young African girl. What better way to highlight African fashion by wearing not, only mainstream designers, but also showing off the intricate headgear (gele) designs as part of her ensemble. Go Lu!

^ I get it. But to wear one every single time feels like cosplay to me.

Hear, hear! :flower:

I love the head wraps so much so that the few occasions I've seen her without one, I think, "Where the hell is the head wrap?"

Who else is doing that in mainstream fashion with her type of celebrity and reach in the US?

I love it. Keep it coming LuLu!

The Balmain halter-neck maxi dress is sheer sexiness, and add in those shoulders - wham! :)

She is so natural, colorful and the most real woman in hollywood i have seen

It just gets better and better.

I'm just curious, have the designers been creating the head wraps for her exclusively because they always seem to match the clothes she is wearing.

When African women buy material (cloths) to make clothes, its usual practice to buy more material in order to make accessories (usually headscarf).

So I can only surmise, that with the African designers that Lupita has worn, during the QOK promo, additional material was the order of the day:smile:

With regards to the mainstream designers, though, I'm also intrigued to find out if what you posted is the case

Yes, I ask because the designer of the last outfit is Rosie Assoulin who isn't an African designer.
