Lupita Nyong'o

I love some of the pieces she's chosen through out the press tour but the footwear is consistently wrong with each look.

^I agree about her shoes. The last look is the first time her shoes weren't overly conservative or matronly. If her stylist is going to dress her in minimalist sheaths she's got to get her some more interesting shoes.

It's a testament to Lupita that she makes that last Chanel look work. Chanel consistently makes some of the most unflattering red carpet getups.

Each look is a nice surprise! Her stylist is doing a much better job with Lupita than with Michelle Dockery.

The Lanvin is probably my favourite look of hers along with the Prada she wore in Toronto. I think the Chanel would've improved greatly with better shoes. I think there's nothing wrong with her wearing conservative shoes (they sure as hell would've looked better with the Chanel); her shoes are never the main selling point of her looks.

The Lanvin gown is the best red carpet look I've seen in a long, long, long time. Perfection.

She really has been an absolute dream to watch! I agree, the Lanvin dress is incredibly on her. It's amazing she can look perfect in either bright color or neutrals.

I love those moments when you know you are seeing someone transform into a star. And I think Lupita is having one of those "star-making" moments right now. It's rather a joy to watch since she seems to be taking it all in stride and with a good sense of self. I'm pretty much in love with everything Lupita's been photographed wearing, she has a great sense of style (and a great stylist)!

I think the real test will be after awards season. Will she benefit in the way Rooney Mara and Jennifer Lawrence have from critical acclaim? Will her role in 12 Years lead to more opportunities as a leading actress? The past indicates this is usually not the case for Black actresses but hope it is different for her.

Her entire trajectory reminds me so much of Rooney Mara but Rooney got a Vogue cover before her acclaimed film-- GWTDT- even came out and before she was even nominated for an award.

I just love her  . An absolute vision in Lanvin. The way she glows and her natural grace are astonishing.

I completely agree with you. It is an absolute joy to watch her. She's absolutely beautiful and looks stunning in everything she wears.

she has yet to get it wrong (im not expecting her to) but damn everything just looks great on her. You can tell she has input and isn't just being told to wear something

Lupita has an 8-page editorial in the December US In Style magazine.

That spread is gorgeous, she even photographs beautifully in editorials. Just when I think I can't love her any more than I already do

Lupita looks incredibly stunning in this editorial- I really love the way that she was styled because she carries it all so well.
