Ted described the look for the DuJour magazine winter luncheon: “I started off getting her ready for her luncheon for DuJour magazine. I love creating different looks for her.

Today was about simple elegance. I used two different kinds of wax to add shine and control. Women with natural hair are always concerned about flyaways and shine. I then used a strong controlled hairspray to add more shine and to create shape.”

She switched it up for the talk show! Ted tells HollywoodLife.com: “Adding hair, even to shorter hair, can be fun and sexy! I added hair extensions to Lupita’s natural hairstyle for Letterman, which is something any woman can create at home! All you need is a strong holding gel and loose, textured hair extensions.

Apply the gel to your head then take the hair and put it on top of the gel on your hair. After you have applied the hair, you can actually shape it into place with your hands and create the shape that you want.

I molded Lupita’s hair to create a soft mohawk, pompadour-like shape. Be sure to finish it off with a holding hairspray to keep it all in place.”

I watched the Letterman interview, and I can't believe just how luminous she looked. Such poise and stunning beauty adorned my screen, I was just stupefied.

Oh boy I hope she steers clear of Chanel and Miu Miu. People who wear those labels on the carpet inevitably end up on worst-dressed lists usually with good reason.

I also hope Lupita doesn't get roped into a deal like Jennifer Lawrence with Dior. If she does we can kiss goodbye all her fabulous looks and the fun "who-will-she-wear" guessing that goes with her appearances. She'll be just as predictable as J-Law who we already know is probably going to wear a voluminousDdior gown cinched at the waist his Sunday.

I think the fact that Lupita has only worn Miu Miu once or twice in the last few months which shows she hasn't got one of those contracts. I really loved her LA 12 Years a Slave Premiere look as it was fun and playful and she really pulled it off but I really did not like the pink Chanel she wore to the BAFTAs event as it was really too old for her.

The Miu Miu ad campaigns are only seasonal and I would probably bet good money that the contract doesn't even mention public appearances. I don't even think I've seen Bella Heathcote and Elizabeth Olsen wear Miu Miu.

I just think it would be really nice if Prada made her gown because it was the designer she wore to her first big event. If you ask me, the dress she wore to TIFF is still one of her best looks, if not the best. The fact that she hasn't worn Prada to any of the award shows makes me think she will go for that. And I think Prada is definitely capable of making a great evening gown. Sure she has had some eveningwear fails (Kerry Washington always seems to the get the short end of the stick ), but I think she has the ability to pull it out for Lupita.

I couldn't agree more ! The white Prada dress @ TIFF was a standout. It be great if she ends her amazing award season with a custom dress by Miuccia.

My guess is custom Prada for the Oscars and custom Calvin for the Vanity Fair after Party. One thing is sure, I'm dying to see her red carpet on Sunday. How nervous it must be for Lupita. Everybody is waiting to see if she's gonna win and who she'll wear. It's definitely a star-making moment.
