With the emergence of nylon and metallic trends the functional and warm MA1 bomber jacket is back in style.

The jackets have been spotted on Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Victoria and David Beckham and Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp makes anything look good. More times than none he's dressing like a hobo, a "chic" hobo mind you, and manages to still look great.

I've got one in blue and I've been wearing it for ages..It's kinda practical:D

no honey, its just cold out.

this is the worst thing after members only jackets.

I have tons of these and i have them stored under the staircase, I for sure, will never wear anything so unflattering.

I think they are great... they look cool as do most military jackets and coats... most coats have their origins in the military:

pea coat
trench coat
duffel coat
M-65 field jacket

It's nice to see they are back in style... seen many in most of the fashion magazines and in new collections..

They were very big in the 80's (top gun etc.)... nice to see them coming back now... they are very functional and good against rain and wind.

Got my new one; William Gibson fans will appreciate the appeal of a genuine Buzz Rickson; this is not the MA-1 of Pattern Recognition fame, but the successor, the L-2B, with Blue Ant Tokyo lining.

here's a really nice version... the original alpha is a classic though. :flower:
