i could not disagree more...tuomas said:I'm a big fan of MMM, but this is quite bad indeed. I loved the the artisanal collection shown before, but here I can spot only a few nice pieces like the black leather bomber. A cool item here and there isn't enough to make this look desirable...and the presentation's awful. I've been to so many memorable MMM shows and this is nothing like the good old days. I blame the Diesel connection, it's been a downhill since they took over.
i had given up hope on margiela..
everything just seemed forced and 'trying to be clever' for so many seasons...
and now suddenly it seems like there is new life in the comapny...
the collections have just been getting better with every season since the diesel influx of cash...
and not just the runway pieces...
but all the collections-menswear and 6 and everything...
what is in stores now is some of the very best stuff mmm has done in many years...IMO....
i think the diesel thing is a BIG success so far..

**i have never been a fan of the presentations though...
i prefer to wait and take a close up look at the pieces...
that is where the true test lies with garments like these...
so i am withholding judgement for this colleciton until i can at least see samples...
or detail shots...
**i think that you have a good point zamb...
about pieces...
i don't necessarily see that as a problem either...
these days especially...seems like a modern way to design...
customers aren't buying a whole new wardrobe from one collection...
as they once did...
they buy 'pieces' from several designers and put them together their own way...
so it is important to have strong individual PIECES...
IMO-good styling and merchandising can do wonders to unify an otherwise incohesive group of clothing...
and make it into a 'collection'...
