Maison Rabih Kayrouz S/S 2014 Paris

Rabih Kayrouz went back to basics for spring with a minimal color palette of black, white, silver and pink, and precise cuts based on rectangular shapes.

Strips of cream fabric were used as oversize mummy bandages on cream skirts, while long panels of black silk, sometimes lined in pale lilac, were draped and pinned to the body for fluid dresses. “It’s all about the gesture — when I cut the fabric, when I make it and also when the woman wears it,” Kayrouz explained backstage.
