Marc Jacobs 'Decadence' Fragrance : Adriana Lima by Steven Meisel

Love this. It has a gritty, sexual vibe that I respond to. Yeah it's unexpected from Marc Jacobs, but perhaps it shouldn't be. After all, he was one of the first mainstream designers to bring grit to high fashion back in the day.

As for the vulgar thing, who cares? Polite, chaste or tasteful sexuality has its place but it ain't the only way to do it. Sometimes letting go of all that is a good thing.

MJ is like any other brand now, he has lost that "cool factor" the business had! Bring back Teller!

Love Meisel, and Lima, but this is horrible, and would make me run away from, not to actually get the perfume!

What does the Marc Jacobs brand represent to you?

To me, Marc Jacobs means modern, cool, and glamorous with an edge. I’ve been a fan of Marc and all of his fragrances and
designs for many years, so it is a true honor to be the face of Decadence.

What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever been given?

Try to accentuate your beauty, you shouldn’t try to hide what you think are imperfections with layers of makeup, highlight what you appreciate about yourself instead.

Does this change when you go out?

For a night out, I like to get a little more glam with a smoky eye and natural lip, or I will do the opposite and wear a bold red lip and just eyeliner with mascara.

Are you loyal to one perfume or do you prefer to change?

I can go either way; but lately I have definitely been loyal to Decadence. It really is an amazing scent!

Are there any smells that evoke good memories for you?

They do say that scent is the closest sense tied to memory but I can’t think of any smells that take me back to anything specific.I can tell you that I love the way my daughters smell, and the smell of flowers, the ocean and nature. Those are all scents that make me happy and make me take in a deep inhale.

Are there any particular smells that relax you?

They say that lavender is supposed to be calming. I don’t know that I have ever felt that, but I do enjoy the smell.

Do you have a favorite breakfast to start the day?

I must have coffee! Apart from that, I switch up my breakfasts so I don’t get bored of the same things. I enjoy yogurt with fruit and granola, egg whites with spinach and veggies, and green juices and smoothies.

How do you stay fit?

I have boxing coaches in both New York and Miami, so depending on which city I am in, I work out with one of them almost daily. I find it therapeutic for both mind and body, I’ve been doing it for over 10 years so it’s definitely my go-to workout.

What’s your trick to looking well even when exhausted?

Confidence. Although I’m a model, I have days where I don’t feel beautiful, and those are the days when I have to give myself a pep talk and tell myself that no matter what, I have to be the best version of myself mentally, and that will show physically.

Do you have any detox drink recipes?

I like to put lemon in warm water to help purify my system, but I don’t have a formal detox that I use.

What are the three beauty products you can’t live without?

Perfume, mascara and lip balm.

Where is the ideal place for you to disconnect?

Either at home or at the beach.

It's lame and generic, if you're going to call it Decadence do something properly outrageous.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ad but not the promo pics in #23. She looks absolutely incredible.

God, she looks rough in the shots above. Equally eyeroll-inducing interview as well.

Ikr?

but lately I have definitely been loyal to Decadence.
Adriana is a beautiful woman and I can see what they were trying to do with this campaign (but failed), but she is so unversatile, same look in every single shot, how such a bad model made it this far is still beyond me

Is this new?

UK Marie Claire August 2016 Digital Edition

Looks like it. The fourth shot here would be good on it's own, very strong Sophia Loren vibe which I didn't pick up with the previous campaign.
