Marc Jacobs F/W 11.12 : Helena Bonham Carter by Juergen Teller

The collection had so much potential. I don't like seeing it get thrown away in such an unattractive campaign.

Well, this campaign is sure to stop from you turning the page and catch your attention. I don't think it's digusting, it's just silly. Clearly, Marc doesn't care about using his campaigns to sell, at least not this one. It's more of a manifesto of what he maybe obsessing over at the moment. He probably knows he has enough clienteles to use his campaigns as another form of 'creative outlet'.

i don't know why people are surprised by this, his runway soundtrack was Marilyn Manson. I was actually expecting it to be darker

Helena is such a Marc Jacobs woman, i don't understand why they've never thought of getting her before, she fits the bill for Marc's playfully odd aesthetic. she even manages to make me stomach Teller's crass photography. excellent choice, i can't wait to see the rest of the shots for this one :P

- the exorcist - check
- sickly polka dots - check
- dog sticks tongue out - check

This is just lazy imo. Nothing creative about it.

OMG, reading the MJ thread is scaring me ! One pic is horrible than the next, these better be just test shots. I'm not heading to town with those shot up in huge poster !

The collection was based on Asylum Patients so i think the twisted vision for the campaign is perfect, Teller for once in his career has managed to do a decent job with his lackluster aesthetic.

these ads are so... weird... what is juergen teller thinking while he's in the studio???

As much as how I adore Ms. Bonham Carter, this is just weird for the sake of being weird.

For me, the only remotely appealing thing about this ad is Helena. I agree with kiddokiddo; it's weird for the sake of being weird.
