Boots & Perfume--- the baby stam's $795


Does anyone have a Stam Hobo? Can you fit it comfortably over your shoulder? I don't like that it doesn't have a kisslock but a bag that I can put over my shoulder is more practical on the subway...

I picked up my bag today. I opened it while in the car and it looked like a chestnut brown at first glance so I dug out the packing slip and it said it was Cashew. I thought, WTF? I wasn't mad, just disappointed. I didn't get the bag out of the box, I just called Barney's and told them they had sent the wrong color as I was supposed to get the mouse color. I go through the whole pick up thing and return thing and the lady called all the stores and found a mouse colored bag in Beverly Hills. Things are fine. So I finally get the bag out of the box and the price tag says "Mouse" as do the other tags. Oh my gosh I felt stupid. So I guess the bag is mouse after all and I'll have to call the lady back and cancel all pick ups and re-ships and all of it. I feel so dumb. I have a problem telling browns and greys from each other most of the time so I was just being color blind.

Why does only one of the closures say marc jacobs?

Velony, i LOVE that baby chesnut!!! It's gorgeous, where did you get it? Do you mind me asking how much? I'm craving a baby stam to go with my putty now. I think i've used it practically every day since i got it a year ago!

Hi, thanks. I was lucky to get it off ebay for only $400 which is less than half of the retail price. I know you have to be carefull because of all the fakes out there but this is definitely authentic. Now I'm waiting for the regular stam to arrive so that I can compare them and decide which one to keep. But I'll probably end up keeping both as I already like the baby stam so much

The demand for the Stam really seems to have gone down. I'm trying to sell my black one on eBay, and I am NOT having ANY luck

really? hard to understand. I have been trying to get a stam off ebay (although) not a black one and I hard a hard time. maybe it's because there are mostly black stams. good luck! I'm sure you'll be able to sell it eventually.

I too would also love to get a stam off ebay but am having a hard time determining fakes. Obviously anything going for $19.95 is no good., but I would hate to pay hundreds for a fake.
I have a Chloe Bay I am trying to sell with no luck on ebay too. I think the fakes are so rampant people have been scared off.

i just think ebay in general has been sucking really bad lately. they raised their fees SOOOOOOOOOO much and they've been canceling random auctions of authentic bags. it's sad too....

Now i'm even more tempted If only it came in patent black or navy...mmm!

Oh, i didn't realise they had raised their prices? How much by? I was thinking of selling some stuff soon. Maybe we do need a place on here where genuine members can sell genuine bags, etc. to other members. Hmm

They try to do this at the Purse Forum. They have created some kind of marketplace but they only allow members who have a certain amount of posts etc. so I wouldn't be eligible. You have to send in an application and then it's up to them to decide.
I also wish we had some place where we could make sure that we would get only authentic items.
Thanks to TPF, btw, for helping me getting an authentic MJ Stam. Without them I wouldn't have been able to tell apart fake from authentic ones.

I joined the Stam cult and bought two. One mini chestnut which I received today and a regular Saddle brown is still on its way to me.

im not entirely sure how much ebay has raised there fees but they have definately raised them. i sold a bag a few weeks ago and it cost me nearly $30 when all was done and finished. i did have a BIN and a gallery image with a highlight, but still.....this would have cost me half that much a year ago to list what i did. i used to use ebay as a way to pay for my bag habit, but sales have dropped and fees increased so it's almost not worth it now-a-days.....

i do agree that what they are trying to do with the marketplace over on TPF is a neat idea, but i can see it's problems too. it would just make the world a better place if fakes did not exist and people were just honest. so sad the worlds not that way.....

I guess that's the way it's supposed to be - I bought the mouse stam from Barney's so I know it's authentic. My topaz stam is the same way - I bought it from eluxury.

^mine too, perfectly authentic putty stam from marc jacobs boutique only has the "marc jacobs" on one of the closures.

No, my putty definitely has it on both. Maybe it was from a different run or something? I hope there's nothing wrong with it!
